Velvet had her baby!

My friend Velvet (I love her name!) had a baby girl this past week. 7 lbs, 2 oz. Her name is Ceridwen ('Cer' pronounced like 'Carr' in Carrie).

What does every veggie mom need for her new born that her omni MIL or partner haven't gotten for her already? I'll need to mail it across country (USA).

My friend swears by Fuzzi Bunz cloth diapers.
I got some friends of the family a Burts Bees baby starter kit, and they loved it. Baby Iris smelled so good too!! She turns two in a month :cry: where does the time go?!

My suggestion doesn't have anything thing to do with vegetarianism, but I think every parent should read Unconditional Parenting, by Alfie Kohn. It will change the way you look at your kids. Also a good sling is useful.

Ellyn Satter's book "Child of Mine". It's about how to properly feed your children. I think every parent should at least skim this book.

The good thing about getting her a book is that if you order it from an online store, you can have it shipped directly to her: they will even gift wrap it!
