I do just about 100 pushups to tone my bicep but what about the excess fat (?) or bulge on side of my breasts? I dont even know how that got there in the first place.
any ideas besides running?
Pushups are good overall exercise for toning your entire upper body - chest, back, shoulders, biceps and triceps. Here are a couple of exercises I do to tone my chest:
Dumbbell Flyes:

Chest Press:

Listed are tons of other exercises for toning your entire body:

I'd like to stress that with all exercises, proper form is very important! Also, always keep your abs tight.
Hope this helps!

Cycling. Especially on a road bike where you can crouch down and give your arms a workout, while working on your legs too.

Pushups build up your pectoral muscles, make them stronger, and larger. As well, they build up arm muscles (triceps and biceps). I don't know what the "bulges" are on the side of your breasts, but the pectorals are behind your breasts, and I am reasonably certain they extend past them, to the side, right on up to the arms (next to the armpit). If this bulge is indeed muscle, doing pushups may cause them to increase in size. If it is fat -- well there seems to be nothing you can do about where the body starts removing fat, about how much fat the body removes, from what place, and in what order. Any buildup of muscle mass and concomitant loss of fat, or any loss of fat due to overall weight loss -- you have no way to control where the fat is taken from. The only control you have is over where the muscle is added.
So if this area is fat, doing pushups may or may not reduce their size, depending upon how your particular body organizes its consumption of fat stores. If it is muscle, doing pushups will increase their size. If fat isn't taken from this area, and instead is taken from some other area, muscle buildup behind the fat in this will make the fat in this area protrude even more. If fat is removed from this area, you are in luck, however you will have some hard, firm, muscular bulging, as you build up your pectorals. If it is only fatty bulges that you don't like, and muscular bulges are ok with you, then doing pushups should change your appearance the way you want it to. However if you simply want to remove fat, aerobic exercises would be better. This will allow the pectoral muscle to remain the same size, plus remove fat. But unless you lose weight, you won't see any fat loss. And again, you have no choice as to how the variious fat storage areas are consumed, to what degree, or in what order.

Hey dude just a quick word. I have that buldge also and i have no idea what it is. It's not gynecomastia (male breast) i know that much. I think its just genetics, everyones different and to me it feels like excess muscle just stored on the side of the pecs you know. Unfortunately it does give off a type of "man boob" look. Well what can you do?

If it's fat, than the best thing would be to speed up your metabolism, which could be done by various exercises. The best exercise I know of to speed of the metabolism and cut fat from the body is sprinting. Sprinting is simply running as fast as you can for a short distance, usually 100y - 200y is ideal. A good article on sprinting is found here : http://www.shapefit.com/sprinting.html
Sprinting is demanding, so I would suggest meeting your daily protein requirements. This is a great link on how to do that : http://www.vrg.org/nutrition/protein.htm
Good luck. That article will cover everything you need.
Just as a side note, sprinting is a lot of fun and if done right, can take about 30 minutes 2 days a week! There is a lot talking about HIIT, or High Intensity Interval Training, which is something different than sprinting, but you may want to check up on that as well. I will give you a concise article about the benefits of HIIT.
http://www.teenbodybuilding.com/justin6.htm
Just to give you a brief scoop on HIIT, it is running at a fast pace with very short rests. You may run fast across a 50 yd distance, rest for 15 seconds, and then do it again. You would do this for 12 minutes until you feel you are ready to die and your gasping for breath. This kicks the metabolism into overdrive, while increasing your bodies ability to intake oxygen, thus giving huge gains on the respiratory system. So mixing in HIIT with your long distance running has been shown to improve long distance running!
Now, there are differences between sprinting and HIIT, and if you read both articles you should see the difference. The articles I posted are really short, btw, I think you will appreciate that :)
