After leaving the Dolphins last July, Williams lived in a tent in Australia, :book: studied holistic medicine at a California school and spent a month at a yoga center in India, becoming certified as an instructor. He lost 30 pounds on a vegetarian diet and took the field Monday at 213, well below his listed weight of 226 on the 2004 preseason roster...

Ricky Williams Goes Veg!
This article isn't that interesting, but it is nice to read of the vegginess.

Googled More info:

“I wouldn’t eat a chicken,” Williams says, “if it dropped dead in front of me holding up a sign that said, ‘Eat Me.’”

Wow, it sounds like he's turned his life around and really discovered who he is. I'm anxious to see how well he performs this season once his suspension is over.

this is par for the course for rickie. first he's a mad puffer, then he's a veggie. he's just a closet hippie is all.

I wonder if he'll stick to veg*nism like he stuck to his contract with the Dolphins. Anybody who quits the NFL to smoke pot gets a huge thumbs down in my book.

it's pot, not some performance enhancing drug... i think sports organizations (and the government) are too harsh with regards to possession of pot

Yeah, but he quit a job that many people would love to have so he didn't have to quit smoking the hippie lettuce. I guess I just don't get it.
