This is my favourite veggie burger. Comes in a box of four in the fridge in the little healthy section of my grocery store. They may only be available in Canada

They are good ... and they are mushy or fall apart like another type I tried once

Ooh! Yes, those are good. I'm in Canada too, so I'm not sure if they're available elsewhere.

Here's my favourite though. I like gardenburger's stuff.

My favo(u)rite veggie burger is the one I make myself. :D Don't ask for a recipe, it's just TVP with whatever spices I feel like adding. Mix with hot water, let the TVP suck all the water in, then form into patties and fry on a hot pan (the oven is fine too). Top with heaps of sauteed onion, soy yogurt sauce with fresh cilantro, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup etc. Yum! I usually always make veggie burgers on Mondays.. I really don't know why :)

My favorite premade veggies burgers are Mountain burgers. They are vegan and made from organic lentils and vegetables. :)

I think they are only available around here though.

My favourite are from a supermarket from the UK called "vegetarian quarterpounders" They are very meaty tasting so may not be everyones cup of tea. They taste like they are cooked on a BBQ. They are made from soya

To be honest though I like making my own from Tofu, lightly frying it until it is brown and crispy with onions and slapping it in bread. :)

I like the vegan Boca burgers, I just wish they were organic. They are decently priced around here, with the dollar off coupons they put in the boxes, I can get a box of 4 at Wal-Mart for $1.38. I like them microwaved though, not the best thing to do to food, but cheap quick and easy. :)

The best, hands down, are in fact Yves goodburgers. Why? They are very good and don't have that "natural smoke flavor" that ruins the taste of all the other ones!

AND, the gardenburger herbed chicken (or something like that), tastes good!

california burgers! they're the only ones I can find that are vegan and made with assorted veggies, not just soy protein.

For me, the hands-down best veggie burger out there is definately Amy's Texas burgers - so very very yummy they are! I love the smokey/bbq flavor of 'em, they taste even better smothered in a good bbq sauce
I also love the Health is Wealth chicken-free burgers.

I have been trying to find a vegan favorite. So far my vegetarian fav is MSF grillers. I want to get away from anything with egg in it. Why do so many veggie foods have to have egg whites? >_<

I love the Yves Burgers. I cook them on a stove top grill, and they're great!

Gardenburger Herb Patties are wonderful too and vegan.

Amy's California burger. ObsidianZebra, are the Texas burgers vegan? (Just curious)

Amy's California Burgers do in fact rock. I'm partial to veggie burgers that aren't really very burger-ish.

Trader Joe's used to make a curried Indian veggie burger that was more like highly seasoned compressed stuffing with peas added. They were so very, very good. Alas, as is Trader Joe's want, whenever I love something that they make, they quickly discontinue it. My husband, three years later, still laments the demise of the curried Indian veggie burger.

ARGH! What is it with stores? Everytime anything is good they discontinue it. ;_;

I'm quite happy with the Boca cheeseburgers. Closest thing I've found to the real greasy thing.

When I was a veggie I loved Griller's Prime, but now that I'm vegan I love the California Burgers! All of Amy's stuff is good, but I especially like how the Cali's don't taste like meat or anything. Probably my favorite ever was a burger that they made in AZ. It was just some little restaurant, and they actually made them there. They were full of veggies, corn and whatnot, very colorful, and the outside was crispy. I wish I had taken pictures or something. They used them on all their burgers, or you could buy one patty to take home for like $1.50. I made a deal with the owner though and bought a bag of 25! They were awesome.

Regarding non-meat tasting burgers, I found some other ones at Trader Joe's, they were just in the freezer somewhere, I almost missed them. They were kinda like the Cali burgers. I forget what they were called, I might buy some more next time I'm there.

Gardenburger Grillers are my fave. They really do have that grill taste without having an overly meaty texture.

My favorite are Turtle Mountin (same folks that make Tofurky) 'tex mex' super burgers. They have whole black beans, corn kernnels and, red peppers. They are light and fluffy and are moist. Vegan, 2 grams of fat per 4" patty, under 200 calories per patty and organic stuff is used.
I just had some for dinner! I buy them by the box at the health food store. I love them!

Have you tried the three varieties? ((I've seen Original, Spicy Bean and Vegetables). Which one is the best? I've tried the vegetables one and I like it. It certainly is much better than the only other brand I bought before (Yves).

"Have you tried the three varieties?"

I tried the spicey and probably the vegetable one. I found the spicey had too much spicey taste. I like the 'original' one as I can flavour it as I like.

Mine is Uncle Harry's Natraburgers, made from grains, spices and vegetables, that can be toasted, microwaved, grilled or fried. They're nice and thick, too.

I don't know if they are available outside of Australia. I sure could go one right now (on a wholemeal bun with tomato sauce, savoury yeast, tomato, onion, beetroot, mushroom and lettuce) but I'm out of them and it's midnight (so the stores are closed).
