On a recent trip to my health food store, I saw that the yellow packaged larabar (which I assumed was the banana bread one) was marked 2.39$ instead of the usual 3 bucks. I thought this gave me a good excuse to buy one.. until I found an even better excuse... it was not "banana bread", but "ginger snap"! Right next to it was an other new variety, cocoa w/ spices and chili (can't remember the exact name). I love dark chocolate with spices mixed in.. and I *love* ginger snaps! Oh dear..
I haven't tried them yet (yeah I'm patient like that..) Anyone tried them?

Well.. looks like there are not that many larabar fans here after all! Anyway.. here are my reviews:
Ginger snap: It's ok, but doesn't remind me of the cookies in any way. Don't think I'll buy again.
Cocoa Molé: Really good. Chocolaty, with sometimes a hint of chile, nicely balanced. I think it's much better than the cocoa and coconut one, that supposedly tastes like brownies.

There isn't a Larabar yet that I don't like. I really enjoy both of these new ones.

Both of those sound tempting. Looks like I'll be having to make a trip to the health food store this morning.

From the website (http://www.larabar.com/faq.html)
Why isn't LäraBar organic?
We do use organic ingredients such as banana and coconut. But, at this time, a totally organic LäraBar would not be affordable to our customers. Rest assured, we will continue to explore every organic possibility and work closely with current suppliers to ensure top quality.
What are the quality standards for LäraBar ingredients?
No added sugars or sweeteners
Non-GMO
Non-irradiated
No sulfites
No preservatives
No fillers
No colorings
Gluten-free
Dairy-free
Soy-free
Vegan
Kosher

I tried the Cocoa Molé one today, and it's a little bit too spicy for my taste. It is nice and moist, though.

I saw these at my local co-op. I thought they were pricey, but if they're as good as you all say, I might give them a try.
How are they compared to Cliff or Luna bars?

How are they compared to Cliff or Luna bars?
Lara Bars are basically just raw fruit and nuts, pressed together in bar form. And they taste exactly like you would expect them to. The Luna and Clif bars have more of a candy type of flavor to me.

I just bought my firt Larabar yesterday. It was the apple pie flavor. I paid $1.49 at Trader Joe's which is very high to me. But I have been hearing about them and they are raw and I don't get to Trader Joe's often so I gave them a go. I liked it. I wasn't in love, but the fact that they are raw makes them more appealing to me. I might try to make my own though.

I like LaraBars much better than Luna or Clif bars. LaraBars taste like real food. Luna Bars taste more like a candy bar, and I don't do well with super sweet stuff.

Has anyone tried the cashew flavor Larabar? It's the only one my HFS carries and it is very good.

I love the Cashew Larabar!! I have to admit that the Pecan Pie one is pretty good as well. I couldn't find them locally, so I searched the web. Found a great place that sells an assortment. Great way to try all the flavors. I recommend the Larabars to all my friends.

I had my first Lara Bar today. It was the 'Pecan Pie' flavor and boy was it good! I loved that it was raw and had only 3 things in it.

I like them all quite a bit. They're often sampled at the store I work at and the person who demo's them works for the company. She said to me a month or so ago that they have two new flavors coming out soon, but I haven't seen them yet.
