(From PETA)
Oscar Mayer, one of the largest sellers of pig flesh in the world, is holding a contest that we want you to enter! Has PETA formed an unholy alliance with a major purveyor of dead, tortured animals? Not at all. Oscar Mayer is letting 20 people use the Wienermobile (a giant hot dog-shaped bus) for one day. We want you to win this contest and then work with us to put the Wienermobile to good use, PETA-style! With a bus this big, there’s no shortage of colorful ways we can use the Wienermobile to tell everyone how bad eating meat is for people and animals.
The contest asks for a 100-word essay on what you would do with the Wienermobile if you win. Please use your creative talents to come up with an idea that would appeal to Oscar Mayer’s judges (so you probably shouldn’t mention animal rights or vegetarianism).
When you win, please contact PETA immediately at VegInfo@peta.org or 757-962-8384. The contest ends on July 28, so please enter as soon as possible. Enter the contest now:http://rideofyourlife.promolot.com/contestentry/default.aspx

I think this is a great idea, ideas like this one are why I <3 PETA.
I can't think of anything to write though. Any ideas?

Well, you'd have to get the OM people to believe that you'd do something with it that wouldn't make them look bad; if they suspect that someone will use it against them they certainly won't allow them to win.
Maybe mention bringing it to an elementary school in your area, make it sound 'kid oriented'.

I must admit that I had that thought myself when I heard about the contest. But I think that in the real world, you could be opening yourself up to big bunch of trouble. Although they will probably make you sign a contract about what you're gonna do with the weinermobile. And if you break that contract...

What Miskedi and Rincaro said. It's a great idea, but OM won't let it happen.

Maybe it wouldn't happen just like the Padres (??) stadium didn't let that commemorative brick purchase that actually spelled out BOYCOTT PETCO slide by...:D

Drive it around, playing music like an ice cream truck, and hand out free samples of Oscar Meyer's new line of tofu dogs with condiments galore!

4. PRIZES & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE: (20) Prizes – OSCAR MAYER will fulfill the ride described in the winners' entry (up to $5,000 value). Ride must be executable within the $5,000 limit and must occur on or after 10/1/05 but no later than 12/16/05. All ride fulfillment dates are at Sponsor's discretion. All winners will be given the opportunity to receive up to $1,500 in cash of their $5,000 prize value. The cash can be used by the winner to defray taxes or for any reason agreed to by the Sponsor. If the total value of your ride is less than $5,000, the remainder of the $5,000 will be donated by Oscar Mayer on behalf of the winner to a Sponsor-approved charitable organization, or it will be forfeited. No value is associated with the use of the WIENERMOBILE™. Sponsor reserves the right to alter or amend winning entries for feasibility, thematic appropriateness and other purposes. Winning entries must adhere to their original intent. In the event a winner resides in Alaska or Hawaii, “Ride” will be provided within the 48-contiguous United States. Prizes consist of only those items specifically listed as the prize. Total approximate retail value of all prizes is $100,000. Limit one prize per family/household.

Emphasis mine, OM obviously has thought this through and I am sure they are aware of Peta's half baked plan and are more than ready for it.

I think it will be cute when OM takes legal action against whichever idio PETA convinced to defraud them.

Words to the wise, consult an attorney before you defraud a corporation.

I was actually thinking that PETA was a little out of line. But, that's just me I think.

Not that it wouldn't be fun though to turn it into something that promotes vegetarianism.
