ok, ive noticed someting weird. i admit i suffer with anxiety and sometimes when i get very anxious i feel warm and stuff..ive even checked my temp at times and i found my temp can go up as high as 99.5 which seems almost like wouldnt i have to be a little sick?? but as i calm down..my temp goes down too.
than tonight i was really mad and worked up about something..i was on the phone for 45 minutes venting to a friend and feeling mad and upset..i hung up and felt really hot. granted its almost 80 degrees out but still..i took my temp and itwas 99.8 i got nervous i was sick so it made me more upset and i re checked it 10minutes later and it went up as high as 100.1 !!!!! i thought for sure id have to call in for work tommorow that i was sick. but i thought of what happened before and thought maybe its just emotional. i took deep breaths and watched tv taking my mind off what angered me and emotional felt calmer..now only 1 hour later my temp is normal???? i cant possible be sick and have my temp drop within an hour right? has anyone heard of this or had this??? is it possible? or am i really maybe sick or soemthing? im confused

It's totally possible for anxiety to drive up your temperature. For most people, a normal temperature ranges from 97.5 to 99.8 or so, so even your 99.5 isn't anything to worry about (unless your norm is 97.5, then that could be indicative of illness). When we're excited, though, all kinds of CNS activities get going and your body systems start operating at a higher level (think faster, for a lot of them - like gearing up for a fight/flight situation). Your temperature goes up, too.

my normal temp is about 98.6 but when im pms which i am it can range 98.6 to 98.9 . i as worried about that it reached 100.1 tonight (thats pretty high right) but like i said it slowley went down to 99.8, than 99.7, than 99.5 eventually to 98.9 and 99.2 it keeps on going back and forth depeding on which side of my mouth i place the thermontor(go figure it seems one side of my mouth is hotter than the other)my normal temp for this time of month. is 98.9 0r less i knew and figured as you said it could raise your temp a bit but to 100.1??? that just seemed to much.

I have always found my temp to be lower than most because I'm always hot & it seems to be a way that your body is terying to cool you off. I know that if I get annoyed, or anxious your blood seems to boil (almost literally). I am one of those proned to hotheadedness. The worst is when people tell me to relax-I can't stand that.
