Robert Craig is nice because it's permanent and doesn't damage your hair. However, I've found that it doesn't hold quite as well as other dyes, but that doesn't matter because none of them really do (I dye my hair dark red, which is a hard color to keep fresh no matter what brand you use, so I prefer to use one that doesn't damage it no matter how many times I use it).

I'm pretty happy with it, so I've forgotten which other brands are vegan. It's not popular, and I have to order it online, but it's worth it. Most of the best stuff is hard to find.

Raw is and so is Special Effects I believe. You can order them online and Hot Topic carries them. Jerome Russell's Be Wild might be. Hope this helps.

No, I buy mine from the health food store. It's even available at the grocery store across the street. I see it all over the place now that I know to look for it. I wouldn't doubt it's somewhere near you too. :)

Oh and it is fairly expensive relative to the cruel brands like Clairol (I have seen it from $10-18 CDN per box which is about $6-13 US)

I wonder when Manic Panic became vegan? I know that they don't test, but the last time I checked, they all had beeswax in them?? I'm gonna have to look into it again.

Manic panic, special effects and punky are vegan. What colour are you looking for?

I currently have 6 colours in my hair (different brands too) so if you need recommendations, I can help.

yeah I'm not really into wild and crazy colours for my hair (and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be allowed for work) so I'll stick with my brand. :)

my local health food store - chamberlins. carries hair dye. but it lasts such a short time, and it's expensive. if it was expensive, and was perminent then i'd buy it. but, like i said, it lasts such a short amount of time, so i didnt want to.

i'll try hot topic next. hopefully they'll carry natural colours.
