It's just two weeks away, the 16th. Hence the minimal amount of running that I've been doing lately. :D

Hi Hamsters,
I can't believe I've missed a couple threads. I'm running about every other day, I ran a 9 mile last Sunday and 7 miles on Fri., also 5 miles yesterday and a 17 mile bike ride on Sat. I'll run 3 tomorrow, 4 on Wed. and 8 on Fri.. Going up-north this weekend so I'll be biking, swimming, kayaking, and maybe water skiing.
Go Hamsters!!:vebo: :bobo: :nana:

Sunday: approx. 10 miles (I think)... 01:40:00 of run-time :nana: I felt GREAT afterwards!
Monday: 3 hours of hiking...3/4 of it on an "easy" (read BORING) trail...then a little part of a "moderate" one...after a 2-hour nap (:D), I went and did upper work...
Today: 5:30 A.M. ...ran for 40 minutes...I might do yoga tonight...definately some ab-work and maybe another run if the weather isn't too hot or rainy.
:nigel: Cheers!
P.S. markc7, I love your "easy 7K"... ahhh... :wayne:

PV, do you go hiking by yourself or with other people? I'm off for the summer and have nobody to go hiking with but I really want to go. Just wondering if anybody else does it alone...
I should note that I used to go alone all the time when I lived further up North. Here, there have been all kinds of mountain lion attacks and sightings so you know...

I generally go with company...yesterday I took my sister and friend along...other time I go with the Omni--and those are usually more difficult trails because my sis isn't as "in shape" as I am (no offense to her, she's just not)...
Where we went yesterday was a state park...REALLY popular trails/area...so there were lots of people coming in as we were leaving (got there around 8 A.M....left around 11)...grant, it was a holiday but even on the weekends I'm sure it's "busy".
http://www.onedayhikes.com search there for your area and see if you can find somthing good...for hiking alone, I'd recommend a "popular" place because even though you're going by yourself, you at least have the security of meeting other hikers along the way/having someone come by if you happen to injure yourself, etc. Also, if there's a lot of traffic I think the chance of a mountain lion making an appearance might lesson so...
Okay I'm done going O/T about hiking :D

Ooh and one last thing, Captain...I have seen hikers "alone" before, men and women...many have a dog so...maybe when your puppy gets bigger you can hike it with [him/her?] on the trails :D

Monday: 3:7 run:walk about 12 miles, in two trips. I have been trying to walk to a part of town I haven't been to before each day, so I threw in some running yesterday.
Today: I'm going to wail on my pecs (and arms), run X miles and spend 2 hours on the tennis court.
ETA: X=2, on a treadmill. I wanted to run on the track but there was a guy cleaning it, with paper towels and spray cleaner. Go figure.
