I swam a mile today. It helps to dry out my poison ivy. And it's helping with my sore muscles from the steroids that I'm taking for it.

As promised, I went to the gym today. :) Just a quick workout, but it felt good.

Today was busy and fun, especailly exercise-wise. I ran 35 minutes of pure hills (ouch) and 15 minutes on regular flat ground and did yoga for an hour. Also went to an hour-long aerobics class just for fun, but it was pretty intense because it also involved a yoga ball, resistence bands, and zero time in between exercises. Lots of lunges, squats, arm stuff, etc. There was cheesy aerobics music but it was fun :D

Today:

50 minutes elliptical, ab work, leg work. 1 hour trampoline with my little cousins (really 2.5 hours...but it wasn't hardcore jumping...so it's about 1 hour of "regular" jumping's worth of exericise).

I carried a 50 pound bag of sand downstairs and almost half way around the block.

I am playing tennis with two people tommorrow, back to back, around 4 hours likely.

Hour-long body flow class. A rainstorm began during meditation, and there's an emergency door in the room that leads out, so we got to meditate to the sound of the rain. :smitten:

ETA: Yesterday was 25 minutes of running/walking intervals.

I think if I tried to do all that, I'd probably keel over :p Anyway, 6 mile run today and then did shoulders and triceps. Oh btw, someone once told me this motivating thing, if you can run 1 mile, you can run 5, and if you can run 5, you can run 10, etc. Easy to say, hard to put into practice, let me tell you.

Tuesday: 5 mile run, 30 minute easy bike ride
Today: 5 mile tempo run, 20 minute bike ride, 3 miles walking. The air is sooo heavy, it makes breathing really hard and I had to use my inhaler for the first time in months...I'm just glad I remembered how to work the contraption when I needed it :D There's supposed to be a thunderstorm tonight and the rest of the week should be cooler, so hopefully this won't last much longer.

Yay hamsters!!!

Last longer bike ride tomorrow before the race next weekend. I'm excited :hamster:

I've meditated out in the rain, under a canopy before. It's amazing. :)

My week so far:
last Saturday: 5 miles running
last Sunday: rest
Monday: 6 miles running
Tuesday: a little more than 4 running, and a nice long walk around a lake/pond I've discovered around here.
Wednesday: 4 miles running
Thursday: (today) I plan on doing 5 or 6 miles.

I may rest tomorrow, or just go for a quick couple miles of running. It's hot here too (like 97 degrees and up this whole week).

I'll probably go for a 4-5 mile run tonight.

OMG, that's amazing!!! you found hills in Illinois! :p

You are a runing fiend anna!!

I got a 14 day trial recently to a gym. I've been using the ellipticals for about 30 min/night, although tonight I think I might have pushed my heart rate up too high

I been up to 190 BPM on that thing before :worried: ... not for a sustained amount of time, however.

Last night I did no abs (boo!) and my running "partner" crapped out, thereby crapping me out along with him :brood: 60 minutes turned to 40 minutes turned to only 25 minutes of actual run time.

...I am through with trying to run with a partner. One wants something done right? One does it oneself. ME!!!

:nigel: Cheers.

Yesterday, I didn't go to my jazz dance class...

so I did a 40-min. dancer work-out at home. :D

Today, maybe some ab work and tomorrow, I have a 2-hour dance practice.
