i dont know if you guys remember tae bo, but it was all the rage a few years ago.
i have a few questions...anyone ever try it? were you successful with it? how much weight did you lose? were you healthier as a result? how often did you do it?

I LOVE BILLY BLANKS. Tae bo is great, but it's really not a cardio workout. I think it's a great thing to supplement your workout with his tapes, but don't rely on them to make you a size 00. I felt a lot healthier when I was doing them, even though some of the moves hurt my knees. It's pretty simple to make changes so that you can do them without pain tho. Basically, billy rocks :sunny:

It's cardio when it's the one hour get ripped/advanced workout. If I did it more often, I'd be in great shape. And it's definitely not boring.

Yeah, it did help me lose most of my postpartum baby fat. I still workout with TaeBo..I think it also aids in making my muscles more flexible. I don't work out with it as often because sometimes my knees get weak, but yeah it's a fun way to exercise, I think. All you need is motivation to get off your butt and do it... at least for me, it is... sometimes I'm just lazy.

When I was in high school (about 7 years ago) I did tae bo religiously. I did the advanced 1 hour workout atleast once a day, I watched what I ate and (unfortunately) took appetite suppressents as well. I lost about 40 pounds in 6 months and I felt awesome! I was kinda high strung but looked fabulous. The workouts are intense, and the floor exercises aren't great if you have a weak back. But it'll definitely get your heart pumping.

I *love* Tae Bo. We bought the tapes off the info-mercial. LOL. And I've been hooked (on and off, I'll admit, but that applies to exercise, period, for me). Anyway, I really like the "Basics" video- simply because it's only about 30 minutes long... if you haven't got a lot of time, it's handy... and the last set of sidekicks get your body burning. LOL. I always feel so much stronger when I've been doing taebo.
I usually pair it with pilates. I mean, I'll do the tae bo 30-minutes workout and then the Winsor Pilates 20 minute mat routine. I just need the stretching afterwards.
