I am confused as to why asking if you were alright is cheeky?Was it the manner he said it in?

well obviously i wasn't alright, he had just accused me of stealing!!!!!!!! & yes he said it in a sarcastic way

OK I wouldn't take that well either.Personally I wouldn't replace a thing.You know you didn't do it.If he's a real prick he could just turn it into a you feel guilty if you're replacing it thing.You might just have to learn to ignore his presence if you want that fun feeling back.No easy task I'm sure.
