We're done this before, but it's been ages and was in the patch. I'd like to move it over here and get some discussion going on why we all believe certain ways.
I rank with the Dali Lama and Gandhi:
Economic Left/Right: -7.63
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.95
I'm ****ing nuts:
Economic Left/Right: -9.5
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -9.8

You are nuts. Perhaps you should delete your post; homeland security may already be monitoring your thoughts.

Looks sort of like I'm a moderate leftist libertarian.
Economic Left/Right: -5.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.95
Less liberal than I thought.

Wow, look at you commies go!
Interesting that they don't have any examples of right lib thinkers, Tame who I read as moderately right lib and The Rev who I read as very right lib will feel lonely. I am somewhat close to the Dalai Lhama:
Economic Left/Right: -4.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.54

Which questions did you give moderate answers to (agree/disagree vs strongly...)?

They can amuse themselves hanging out with Ayn Rand's zombie. ;)

That I recall?
Ummm...I don't believe in astrology (whatever THAT would indicate :) ) and dont advocate protective tariffs (putting on my liberal hat and assuming the continued existence of the state and capitalism, of course).

I think I answered in the same direction as most of you pinkos on a lot of questions but I tended to not give many strongly... answers (I did in the last two pages though). There was a question that went something like "What is good for a corporation is good for society" and I answered disagree. I'm thinking most of you answered strongly disagree and I'm wondering how divergent our views are and how finely this test can measure them. IE is a 9.8 leftist really twice as left as a 4.9 when they would probably agree on most real world policy issues (granted they have radically different visions of how the world ought to be)?
Wow, I guess I really am middle of the road. I'm economic right/left--1.13 and social libertarian/authoritarian--.31 Pretty much where I thought I'd be.

I believe most of us have been a bit less productive than he was, but his views are apparently quite popular with the tofu eaters.
Economic Left/Right: -6.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.67
I'm quite close to Nelson Mandela. I think that's quite cool.

You mean....an Internet quiz isn't sufficient? I, for one, am appalled.

I would argue that my views actually differ categorically from those of liberals, but, yeah, I think the strong/answer weak answer thing poses a methodology problem for this survey. I, for one, did answer almost exclusively strongly. Perhaps they shoulda had:
1. Is true in almost all situations
2. Is true in most situations
3. Is true in a minority of situations
4. Is almost never true

I agree. I think that society has benefited greatly from corporations seeking profit (and I doubt anyone who choose to use the internet on a computer could disagree too vigorously) but I am daily reminded of the horrors that an unchecked corporation can cause in the pursuits of those interests, which made it hard for me to choose between disagree/strongly disagree.

>>I think that society has benefited greatly from corporations seeking profit (and I doubt anyone who choose to use the internet on a computer could disagree too vigorously)>>
On the other hand, if the corporations behind these innovations did not exist, could we not have fulfilled their functions via other means? I'm wandering into the unanswerable "what if..." game...but I think you have a good point...there can be an intersection of interests there, depending on whatever the hell the interests of society at large are...
