Rock Climbing

As of late, I've become interesting in trying this. One of my goals in life is to travel out of country quite a bit and to climb various mountains would be extremely fun.
Does anyone have any idea how I could go about finding people/places in my area where people do this, where it is taught, etc? I've searched Google a bit but haven't come up with much.
For some reason, I don't think looking for "Rock climbing" in the phone book will turn up much. :lol:

your best bet would be to go to your local outdoors outfitters such as REI or EMS. These stores tend to have guided outtings, lessons, and information about rock climbing gyms.
