OKLAHOMA CITY (June 2) - Michael Crossland didn't have much time to celebrate when he shot what is expected to be the largest whitetail deer ever killed in Oklahoma - a monster buck with a 31-point set of antlers worth thousands of dollars.

Instead, the antlers were seized by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and a charge of hunting without permission was filed against him. If convicted, he could be fined, face jail time, or both...

... if convicted Crossland faces a fine of up to $200 and 30 days in the county jail.

Good for the bastard...I assume that's not the particular deer in the pic, wrong date and not as many 'points' as mentioned, not that that's really significant, just a little fyi.
Deers must be pretty tough to hunt though, huh, I mean they'll just tear you to pieces and devour your flesh if they get a chance.

A dead animal's head is worth $20,000 to $30,000??

But I guess people don't realize that it's worth even more than that to the animal ... :grr: Unfortunate that such a beautiful creature's life was ended.

I remember going in the woods the week before hunting season began. It was a group of 20 6th graders, talking and not exactly being sneaky. Yet we still ran across more than 30 individual deer. Yup, hunting takes skillz.

I think that if they brake the rules, their hunting permit should be taken away. Forever.

because they are cowards who have no other way to exert thier "superiority" and "strength" other than to kill beautiful, innocent, little dear. :furious:

20-30k for a DEER HEAD!!!?? wtf, thats a new sports car or a house down payment lol.

sick azz hunters. That dudes so cool with his gun he dropped it in one shot :/

Anyway, what a hick, hes 25? He looks 45 in the picture, where he cant make up in women he sure makes up in shooting animals... since you know no hunter leaves his house without his gun!
