Alright just a quick little...observation...

So I'm reading the label of Robert's Tings and one little bubble says, "Good for you!" or something similar. I read on a food post something about "natural donuts" and I remember some Nutrilicious donut holes saying "good for you" or again, something close.

Now last time I checked fried corn sticks and donuts, vegan or not, aren't all that "good" for you. They are junk food just like the rest of it...Doritos, Krispy Kreme, Cheetos, Ding-Dongs...sans animal ingredients.

Of course, I'll eat the Tings and the Nutrilicious donuts just the same but...isn't that claim a little misleading? Just like Soy Delicious...no animals involved, but 200+ calories per 1/2 C. serving like dairy ice cream...

:stinkeye:

Eh. Just some thoughts :D

:nigel: Cheers!

I've being trying to make this claim here for a long time, nobody will believe you. Some how that chipotle burrito with 1120 calories and 17 grams of saturated fat is better for you than a hamburger half as many calories and less saturated fat.

You're right, you're right, you're both right. But junk food is addictive and even veg*ans need to have some. All I can say is "moderation, moderation, moderation!"

There ya go. :D

Have a nice day. :sunny:

Ditto! Its still veg*n "junk food" but at least it doesn't have all the preservatives and other crap that most non-vegan foods have. And again, its all about moderation.

Now, everybody join me for some soy delicious - J/K! :D

Yeah, my tings are a vital source of b12, and according to the new food pyramid corn is both a whole grain and a vegetable.

But alas, B12 amount in Tings is trivial...tasty, but still trivial

:p

Nope, Tings and Nutrilicious donuts are certainly not "health food". But I eat them anyway! :p
And yeah, I've noticed that "good for you!" labeling too, and it's quite misleading.

1. http://www.veganessentials.com/catalog/super-veggie-tings-by-roberts-american-gourmet.htm

2. VB is short for Veggieboards. VB'rs or VBers are VB users.

3. Tilt your head all the way to the right. See it?

I have no problem with junk food, I eat junk food. I hate the attitude that our junk food is better though, it isn't. All junk food is fine in moderation, bad otherwise.

BPS: That's funny. Although: While some newbies do tend to be clueless, I also like to see feisty newbies as well who are willing to defend veg*anism against nasty 'ol trolls if they have to. :guitar: :nana:

However should they have bothered to read the first post before going on troll patrol, they would have seen that PV is an established member.
