Hi everyone,

I'm trying to replace all of my cruelty-free (no animal ingredients and not tested on animals) products that are full of chemicals with environmentally friendly products.

I've been shopping around online and I'm glad that I've been able to find a lot of cruelty-free products, but it's very difficult to tell which are earth friendly and which are just chemicals.

Here is some of what I'm looking for:

Hair gel (preferrably something that stays soft and doesn't get all crispy.
Toothpaste (with fluoride that hopefully doesn't taste horrid)
Deodorant (one that actually works and doesn't leave white clumps)
Conditioner

I've already replaced my shampoo and laundry detergent. I'm sure there are other products, but those are the main ones I'm having difficulty replacing at the moment.

Thanks a bunch for your help! :nigel:

You're sure to get some posts here later, but in the meantime, doing a search here at VB should yield some (many) old posts. just type in "toothpaste" for example, and you'll find like a million old threads. :)

Thanks, Jen :)

I'll do some searches. This board doesn't seem to have a lot of threads, so perhaps they're posted elsewhere. I did find a few threads here, but they were about cruelty free, but didn't discuss the eco friendly portion.

i always have luck with finding household cleaners and health/beauty products at whole foods, like tom's of maine toothpaste and deodorant, and whole foods has a variety of good hair product brands. also, aveda has great hair products (pretty expensive though). petamall has some good links too... i apparently cant post them here, but you should check out the site if you haven't yet.

Last time I went to Whole Foods I was in a mad rush to find food that I might like and spent a fortune. Next time, I'll focus more on their health and beauty stuff to see what I can find. I'll also check out Peta Mall. Thanks for the tips!
