How come it is assumed that you want to be corrected? Why not make a list for people who want to be corrected, and by default have it so that people DON'T want to be corrected?

This is like **** like telemarketing and junk mail, where they assume you want to have to put up with it UNLESS you state specifically that you don't.

I assume that you are in Group 1, meaning that you don't want to be corrected. You might want to re-read my post.

I am an author, I am university educated, I used to be a free and a paid tutor, and I am working on a for-profit novel. I have to concentrate on proper grammer, spelling, and pay attention. Here, I do not. Here, I can let whatever crosses my mind vomit into a post and not care.

So, feel free to anyone who wants to correct my typos or grammer. Just be warned; you better be able to take as much you give.

I think it should be a public poll, where each option is one of the groups. Then it should be pinned, and people can quickly reference it when about to make a correction of someone's post.
Or maybe an another field to the member profile table in the database where people can specify whether to correct them or not, and it can appear over to the left under a member's avatar etc. (default it to "No Correction").

You know we have quite a few smartasses, but somehow only the youngest one of them all gets picked at .... i think he has some good ideas and he wasn't even being a smarty pants in this thread :) so i don't get why everyone's acting like that :rolleyes:
