I love peanut butter and kiwi sandwiches, peanut butter and carrot sandwiches, and peanut butter and cucumber sandwiches (YUM). I also spread it on carrots and apples (rarely, though)

Oh, and publlix (supermarket) crnuchy natural is the ONLY way to go (salted, of course)

Crazy Richard's organic, all natural pb made from nothing but peanuts. none of those artificial fillers and sweeteners for me.

yep, we prefer the "only-peanuts" kind too, usually the generic brand. once, in a fit of desperation, we purchased "Adams" brand, which is just peanuts and salt, and my son complained it was too salty! i liked it, though. :) it's too expensive for us to buy on any regular basis, sadly.

I too enjoy the peanut butter with all of the oils and preservatives. Jiff extra crunchy is my current favorite, the crunchier the better. In fact I have contemplated just putting peanuts on the bread for optimum crunchiness. I have just started buying organic foods, but it never occurred to me to get organic pb. We have an organic section in our grocery store - I will have to check it out. :)

i like the fresh ground organic kind. the only problem is that the poor grinder that my groc store has is allways just on the verge of breaking down....errr. apparently they are getting a new one...but man...its sometimes down for weeks at a time. i got a salted kind in place of this once without realizing it...and blech, i just couldn't get over how sensitive i was to the small amount in comparison to none.

as for uses. well, i make peanut sausage with gimmie lean veggie sausage (in the tube). ants on a log are a favorite. almost ritualistically i have 2 pieces of locally made organic whole grain toast with the fresh ground pb and eden organic apple butter (yumm!). nothing but the apples maaan! it keeps the dog busy for a time...heh. i have been meaning to try peanut soup, i've had it at a few places locally and it was very good. hmm, i need to try a peanut butter and pickle sandwich.

I use Publix brand old fashioned/natural pb as well, good and cheap! yum! After getting used to the real stuff I can't even really stand the fakey stuff anymore.. I dunno how they can even call it pb - it's more like peanut frosting .. ick
oh well, whatever floats your boat!

PB is ok if it's Marantha or similar good organic kind. But the best thing is Soy Nut Butter. Health Trip was awesome but they won't be making it anymore. Can't find a reasonable substitute. All the other brands I've tried taste terrible. So I want to make my own. It comes out gritty using the blender or food processor. Has anyone tried making SMOOTH soy nut butter in the Girmis FoodChopper (http://www.fernsnutrition.com/hmnutbutter.html Claims to make great creamy or chunky peanut butter but will it do creamy soy nut butter is the question.....before I go spending $90! Can anyone help me out here with some experience? Thanks, Susan

My favorite is a store brand. It's from a grocery store called Harris Teeter. They have an organic line and their organic PB is yummy! I had tried natural pb before and didn't like it, but their brand is great! I love making pb and banana sammichs. ^_~

Adam's peanut butter is the only stuff we get and we get it at the grocery store, not the HFS. Ingredients (as I read them off the lable): peanuts and less than 1% of salt. Yummmmm.

Peanut butter and pickles are soooo good together! I like bread and butter pickles the best but I've also had it with dill and I have to say it's pretty good, too.

Anyone out there try a peanut butter and pickle with banana sandwich?

Cucumber is really good, but it *burp* does bad things to me *belch*. Even the *braap* seedless ones *burp*. I don't know why *belch*. :D

Sometimes, I'll have a peanut butter, pickle and soy bacon sandwich (yes, all 3!). Really good stuff.

Well once you've encorporated pickles, you have to break out the grey poupon...

I love peanut butter. I buy the 100% peanuts kind. When I was a kid I ate the "normal" one with sugar and salt, hydrogenated fat.. but once I knew about the effects of those fats, I sure stopped buying that stuff! And I don't miss the salt/sugar at all.

As far as what I like it with.. well I'm unoriginal... whole wheat bread, that's pretty much it. I have to try it with something else. But I try not to eat to much of the stuff.. I'm in the process of losing weight.. so I eat it almost daily, but in small amounts.

What is a small amount? I think "they" usually say a serving size is 2 T. I really ought to measure mine because the way I eat is sometimes ....

I eat peanut butter almost everyday. I have been trying to convert to the natural stuff (my husband eats the natural) but can't do it! I'm working on it. For now, I get the Jiff reduced fat creamy.

Going to have some right now!!!

*drool* I love peanutbutter!
I can't get natural right now...even Skippy is the price of gold here in Sweden, but oh so worth it! I would like to try natural when I get home because I have become a big ol' pb addict!

Peanut butter and honey are the absolute best sandwiches. Peanut butter and banana are good too. Apples with pb smeared on them...a delicious snack.
