I'm amazed that he bought the hissers. I know people who give them away free.

Isn't it cruel to use a cockroach like this?
People are upset if cockroaches are healthy, happy and producing piles of babies in their kitchens. People are also upset if they are being hurt for the sake of entertainment.

He's talking about two very different kinds of roaches here.

The hissing ones are nothing like the ones that come out at night and have a party in your kitchen.


Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches are cool! A friend of mine had a male and a female. I think the male was the one with the two bumps on its head (?) Very cool critters.

I'm partial to Australian walking sticks -- they eat blackberry leaves!
