Err... I suppose/hope I put this is in the right forum, if not, please kick it around to the appropriate listing...
So lately, I have suddenly and inexplicably accquired an insatiable obsession for coconut-scented things. Just kinda came outta nowhere. My problem is, apparently there isn't a terribly huge demand out there from people who share this need for some yummy coconut fragrance. The past few days I have searched like a madman for all the coconuttyness I would like to include in my olfactory indulgence, only to turn up empty. Many of the threads here about coconut are food-related. Bah, I know where to get eatin' coconuts! What I am mainly looking for is:
a nice vegan/cruelty free coconut-scented shampoo and/or conditioner - most searches returned non-vegan results or shampoos containing coconut-based surfectants (sp?) and surprisingly, just a bunch of pet shampoos... which I suppose I could use as a last resort? Not to mention strange combos of the lovely coconut tainted with some weird counter-smell, i.e. coconut mango, coconut peach, you get the idea.. I want pure, unadulterated coconut scent, or at least something close as possible. I remember I used to use the Suave Tropical Coconut kind years ago, but I don't know if I'm desperate enough for animal testing and silk proteins and goodness knows what else. I know there have got to be some out there, but many coconutty shampoos don't advertise the fact that they are coconut, so I was kind of discouraged from standing there opening every single bottle and sniffing it to see.
lotion - I was considering Dirty Kitty as I have come to know and love them, but if anyone has any even better suggestions, send 'em this way.
soap - Already had Yodeling Fish in mind, but if ya know anything else nice...
scented candles or air fresheners/room fragrances - been testing out a few different incenses, but they just smell like generic incense smoke.
I think that's about it. It seemed strange to me that my search for these things hasn't already been completed as I thought these things would be more accessible (where is the coconut love??). Maybe I am just crazy or maybe I just suck at searching. Anyway, can anyone help me satisfy my jonseing for the coconut? Thank you so much, lovelies :D *disappointed there isn't a coconut smilie*
