For those of you who are very physically active, what is the typical number of calories you take in every day? How many of those are carbs, fat, and protein?

My protein/fat/carb varies...I try to go with the 40-30-30 rule? Or is it 50-30-20 (carb-protein-fat)? :think:
Either way, a "low-day" for me is...now like 1500-1600...some days I'll break 2000 and even get to 2200... :eek:
On average, however, I'm at 1800 or so. I'm a female, 20 years old, 5'4", and I do regular weight-training and running so...

I'm not very physically active right now, but I remember it being up to 40 grams of fat, 46 grams of protein (I can't remember carbs, sorry), and 1300-1500 cal a day. I'm female, 23, 4'10, about 130lbs (I'd like to be closer to 115lbs). I found all the information online, but it was hard to figure out how many calories I should eat, so I just tried eating naturally. 1300-1500 ended up being my range.
Do you use fitday.com? Put in a few random days and see what your average is, then look around online to find suggestions on what you should be. I just use it occasionally now, to see if I'm getting enough nutrients and if I happened to get enough protein and such.

When I'm slightly active, meaning 30-60 minutes of exercise a day, I take in over 2000 calories to maintain 120lbs (28yo female). When I'm very active, I need more like 2400. If you are younger, more active, weigh more, and/or male you probably need more.
The carbohydrate-fat-protein ratio should be about 50-65% carbo, 15-30% fat, and 10-20% protein.

my caloric intake ranges from 1000 - 3500 depending upon the day, due to my own issues. but i think a good range for days that i work out would be 2000-2500. i'm a 19 year old female, BTW.

my caloric intake ranges from 1000 - 3500 depending upon the day, due to my own issues. but i think a good range for days that i work out would be 2000-2500. i'm a 19 year old female, BTW.
pssssst 1000 calories is unhealthy at best, and dangerous at worst.

i know... it is very unhealthy. might as well just balance it all out so i don't eat 3500 the next day... but that would be too difficult :no:

Thats my normal range most days. I usually range from 1600-2000 calories on my good days, to maintain 115 lbs. I'm 24, female, 5"3.
Sometimes I can get as low as 1000 cal. unfortunately tho, and can get as high as at least 2300 (if I overdo it on consuming baked goods :P). But my normal range is good for me.

Yeah, oddly enough, my worst offenders are the baked goods that I bake myself. Its a deliciously, wonderful skill, but can be my worst enemy :worried:. 'Tis why I usually give most of my baked goodies away to family and friends and/or just bake only once a month. :p

i'm around 1800 on a given day. 20% fat, 25% protien, 55% carbs (20% veggies, 20% fruit--tomatoes, avocados included--and 15% grains/beans, etc).

Whoa...I don't know how most of you survive eating what you do while being so active. I'm not extremely active...definately don't run miles every day. I'm an 18 year old female and I generally walk between 1 and 1.5 miles a day (in addition to what I regularly do throughout the course of the day) and I weight train twice a week. Yeah, so I'm slightly active and although I do have eating issues, I need at least 2200 calories a day just to maintain my weight and prevent a loss.

31 year old female, 5', 107-110 lbs, depending on the day. ;)
If I'm cutting (trying to lean out), typical calorie intake is 1,200-1,600.
If I'm putting on muscle and really focusing on weight training, typical calorie intake is 1,800-2,400.
On average, I probably eat 1,400-1,600 calories per day if I'm "watching" my diet. If it's a cheat/free day, it can creep up to 2,500 or more.
Sometimes I cycle my calories, too: high day, medium day, low day.
In general, ratio is 35% protein, 15% fat, 50% carbs.
Typical exericise is (6 days per week): 40-60 minutes of cardio (like running, elliptical, karate drills) and 20 minutes of weightlifting. Maybe 10 minutes of stretching. And karate class 3x week.

13 year old female (but my growth spurt--if you can call it that--stopped a LONG LONG time ago), 112 lbs. 4' 11''. On a good day I usually eat about 1200-1600, on a bad day that creeps up to 2000-2300, or 900-1200. (both of those are labled as bad days. Normally the 900-1200 is after a higher bad day, or I've been sick.)
excercising: (it sounds like a lot, but I swim regularly and am training for water polo in a year with some girls way older than me. Also, about once a week I'll blow off cardio/weights to call a friend or something.) 1 hour of swimming a day, 30-60 minutes of cardio, 40-60 minutes of weights. On weekends it's usually 60-90 minutes of cardio, and 50-80 minutes of weights. But the "weights" time usually includes talking with some friends and messing around with the scale. :)
I don't count a darn thing anymore, but I do try to avoid peanut butter. That way, when I try to "avoid" it I end up eating smaller amounts. (PB is my favorite food.) :drool:
