Origins and Aveda each manufacture several items that are vegan, and they are fairly accessible at most shopping malls. Not all products are vegan, however, so checking ingredients is a must. (Their products are pretty expensive, but I don't wear makeup very often, so they last me for a good long while, usually. But that's just me. ^^;; )
There are a few brands of vegan makeup available online, but
makeup is not something I'm willing to buy without having tried it first, so that's not a good option for me. You might be interested in it, however.
Aubrey Organics is the only online cosmetic supplier I'm at all familiar with. You can visit the site here (http://www.aubrey-organics.com/categories1.cfm).
I hope this helped.

I believe Zia makeup, which I can find at Whole Foods is vegan. Otherwise there's plenty of online stores selling vegan makeup:

there's one i came across called EccoBella. i'm not sure if it's vegan or just against animal testing, but it's found in health food stores. i'm probably going to check into it. they charge like 10 bucks for a lipliner pencil though

MAC makes some vegan cosmetics... theyre all not animal tested... but a couple things you need to watch the ingredients on
if you check out their website and see something you like, you can email them and ask if its vegan... and theyll tell you straight out yes or no
theyre expensive, but worth it, IMO

For vegan foundation there is EccoBella and Zia. For powder there is Beauty Without Cruelty. Lipliner; Beauty without Cruelty. The foundation is expensive but whatever else I buy I try and go for "vegan value".

I use Origins, Barry M (from the UK), ZuZu Lux...My favorite for eyeliner and face base is Origins. I don't mind spending the extra money as long as it works well.

I recently purchased two MAC lipsticks. Although the package did say that they were cruelty free, both contained carmine and beeswax. Fortunately, I purchased them at a department store with a liberal return policy.
I'm not sure if their line of eye shadows, blushers, etc. are acceptable, but MAC lipsticks are definitely not vegan.
Zasu, on the other hand, makes excellent 100 percent vegan make-up (everything from lipsticks to eyeshadow) that works well and is reasonably priced.

I'm a big fan of Origins as well. They also make really good skin care products and they're into recycling and stuff.

The Origins box even has a animal/earth friendly quote. Like I said I use a lot of their products. The only thing I did not care for is the 'fret not' body wash because for 420 I thought it would lather more.
My favorite products are Have A Nice Day (spf face lotion), eyeliner in black, Silk Screen face powder (no silk is used) and, Transforming lip glaze.
I kow a lot of MAC products contain carmine. I did a bit of poking around after hearing that people thought they were vegan. MAC counters have an ingrediants book at the counter if you ask to see it.

Carmine simply put is bug juice...It is a colorant derived from bugs.

I use Arbonne products. They use no animal by-products and do not test on animals. They also do not use mineral oil, waxes, or dyes.

I know Bonne Bell uses lanolin and beeswax, it says so on their website. I don't know if they use other animal ingredients too, but I wouldn't be surprised. Some of their stuff might be vegan, but I don't know.
