Yesterday I went to dollar tree in Ft. Worth and I found Muir Glen organic diced tomatos. I'm not sure if the other locations will have them but it would be worth looking if you don't live in Ft. Worth. :bobo:

I found them at a local discount store too, $1.19 a can. Organic pasta sauce was $2.49 a jar as opposed to $5.69+ in the grocery store.

Nice bargain!! I was at Big Lots today (Pic N Save) and I found the Bearitos organic spanish rice seasoning packs for .25 each, Hanson's juice singles (for the kid) at .99 for a 3 pack, Mother's Coco Bumpers cereal (I know it's a little on the sugary side) for 1.99 a box.

I love the names of Dollar Stores. "Pick-N-Save" "Dollar Tree"...Here there was one in China Town that I saw once, called "Everything .99 And Less, Up" that was my favorite.
Every so often you;ll come across a great bargain at those places. I usually buy a cart load if I see something good.

I was going to post about this too, but I thought maybe it was just a local thing. At the Dollar Tree in Claymont, DE they had Muir Glen diced tomatoes 2/$1 :hamster:

We have it here too....I think it has cranberries in it......I've tried it, and I don't like it...which is too bad because it's such a great bargain!!

Richland Hills, near Fort Worth. I will be in that area next week. If I have time I will check it out. Thanks!

I've seen Kashi Cereal at Big Lots for $1.99 or $2.50. For whatever reason (a moment of cheapness; Telling myself that I didn't "need" cereal since I had some at home...) I didn't get any. I don't remember the brand, but I got some organic whole wheat penne pasta at a Big Lots last winter. It's better than the regular stuff. I'll continue to buy more whole wheat stuff when I get through the supply I have now. (Thanks to my mom and some friends who moved last summer, I have a nice supply. I don't eat spaghetti much, so it'll last me awhile; I've had some since I married almost four years ago. I'm going to pull out a new box and donate it to the Lutheran Social Services food pantry at least. (That's what I can do today--Clean out my cabinets to take a donation to church.)
Thanks for the information, guys. I'll try and see if my husband wants to take a drive to Big Lots today.

I am definitely going to have to check out the local Dollar Tree. You never know when your going to need oranice canned tomatos! I often use them for homemade spaghetti.
