Actually, the darn company that makes the oreos are the party poopers. If only they wouldn't throw that nasty stuff in them! :)

If they ever do take the trans fats out, I'll definitely be trying them, though.

How about organizing a stealth ninja anti-trans fat gang to sneak in and swap out all their stuff with even better options? :p

 PB Oreos are the best. I can only imagine double stuff ones are better.

The mint kind are good too

Almost all the of the Double Stuff are vegan (at least in Canada).

And, to rub it in, ours have less nasty ingredients :p

Newman's Own makes a kickass, all natural mint oreo . I've seen them in Kroger's and Whole Foods in TX. I don't know about peanut butter though.

Are you sure? That's not what I remember from reading the label.

Not that I eat such junky foods or anything.

I thought they removed the trans fats a few years ago after all that ruckus.

Yeah I thought they changed it after people were trying to get an age limit for them somewhere.

Hmmm.... Maybe they did remove it. I haven't looked at them in so long! Next time I'm at the store I'll have to look now. :)

After reading this, I was curious as to the trans fat content of the peanut butter oreos and e-mailed nabisco. I also asked them about their ingredients. This was my question and there response:

I was just wondering what the current trans fat content is in the new peanut butter stuffed oreos? Also, do they contain any animal derived ingredients or vitamins?

As you can imagine our products change frequently, and maintaining a list of

I've never liked Oreo's but I love the Newman's with chocolate centers. They're great for making a cookie pie crust too. :lick:

Trader Joe's makes some mighty fine PB chocolatey sammich-type cookies! Errr... they usually don't stick around long enough for me to remember checking out the trans-fattyness of them, so this post may or may not be completely useless.

Ew. Partially hydrogenated oils. I really thought more companies were going to be doing away with these, but it looks like Pepsico is the only one that has followed through (Fritos, anyone?).
