This post will be updated as needed. Check here for the most current information.

Location: Cedar Point (http://www.cedarpoint.com) in Sandusky OH
Dates: October 7, 8, 9

Hotel Information: Updated!

We will be staying at Breaker's Express (http://resorts.cedarpoint.com/public/resorts/index.cfm?resort_id=1) (a Cedar Point hotel, located just outside of the park). Rooms are $69.95 per night. I believe that's for 2 beds.

Not only is staying at a park hotel convenient but we get discounted admission ($33) and we can start riding rides a 1/2 hour before the park opens! TTD here we come! There's also a shuttle so no parking fees.

The CP brochure has a coupon for a free rollaway bed ($10 value) so if you're sharing a room with more than one person that may come in handy. I'll try to bring coupons with me.

If you think you may be going you might want to order one of their brochures you can do so here...

If you think you're probably going post here and I'll add you to the list. Once you've made your room reservation (or your roommate has made the room reservation) or bought your ticket to the park let me know and I'll add you to the "definitely going" list.

Questions

What does the weekend consist of?

Friday afternoon/evening we get settled into our hotel rooms, have dinner, and hang out. Saturday we spend at Cedar Point. Sunday we have lunch and hang out until everyone has to go home.

How much will it cost?

If you split a hotel room with just one other person it'll be about $70 for the weekend. Splitting a hotel room with more than one other person would obviously decrease that amount significantly. If you're staying at Breaker's Express discounted park tickets are available for $33. Other than that you'll just need money for meals. I would guess $150 should be sufficient.

I need a ride!

Just post a request. If you're coming via plane, train, or bus we should be able to pick you up and drop you off once you're there.

I need a roommate!

Just post a request. I wouldn't recommend sharing a room with someone you don't know very well or with someone who is new. I'm not responsible for psycho roommates!

I'm not 18, can I go?

You'll need to have a guardian over the age of 18 to attend.

I can't make it all 3 days.

You don't have to be there the whole weekend, just join us when you can!

I want to go but I'm too shy.

Most of us are. And past attendees will tell you that there's no reason to be nervous!

The dates don't work for me.

Sorry, there was no way I was going to make everyone happy. :(

Please put Mr. & Ms. Vggiegirl on the maybe list...with summer behind us I feel a lot better about going. So much going on in the summer...we'll need to get away by then. I brought this up to Mr. V and he actually said really? that actually sounds cool!
He will be in the yay rollercoasters crowd...I will be in the let's go walk around crowd :)

I will SOOOO be there. My dad's birthday is October 10th, so I'd have that added incentive to come back to Ohio (if) I'm living out of state by then.

(For those who are wondering, though the opportunity in Chicago is still viable, I'm currently pursuing a legislative advocacy position in DC that involves some travel to Africa and South America.)

If I don't run the marathon (which is very very possible) on the 9th I'll be there. Friday and Saturday are my taper days so I can't be walking around :( (considers renting one of those electric wheelchair things  )

I'd also need a ride from IL.

I might be able to go, I might not. I don't have any classes on Fridays, so I really wouldn't have any excuse not to go other than money or not having a ride.

So put me on the probably list?

If I'm not in the chorus for Cleveland's first opera of the 2005 season, I can go, but otherwise, I can't. I'll update in a month or so.
