I have been doing these for about 3 weeks now, as they make me feel AWESOME when I do them in the morning. I used to do them while I was in Kung Fu because my Sifu told me about them..and encouraged me to do them. So, i'm wondering if anyone else here has had experience with this type of Yoga, and has seen good results like I have? Any more info on them?
Also, do you guys this these would be safe for me to do while trying to still recover/gain weight? I don't think they burn many calories, but i'm not sure. They make me feel SOOO good though the rest of the day. I do them everyday before breakfast.
Cheers.
P.S. Here is a link to them: Link my link...link....link (http://www.mkprojects.com/pf_TibetanRites.htm)

i think if you listen to your body and go your own pace, if you're continuing to eat, then it should be fine. it predominently works the energy body--so if you're tapping into that moreso than the physical body--it shouldn't be a problem.
also, eat, right? :)

Heh...thanks for the advice :D.
I guess this type of Yoga isn't very popular :(. I REALLY works if anyone wants to try it heh.
Cheers.

most people don't know what it is. it's not so much a style as a sequence, and it's easy to do 9\(short and simple) once it's taught.
i think that many teachers would be disinclined to only teach this 'style' or series of yoga poses as the 'only thing you need' because then students wouldn't return for a teacher!
i like to do it occassionally, but i didn't realize it was under this name until i saw your link. :)

there are plenty of modifications; it isn't painful, though it may be uncomfortable; if you have basic mobility, you're not too fat to do most of the movements.

Ooh that looks like fun:)
I think I'll give it a go when I get back from Sri Lanka/Canada...'Cause I'm positive I won't be able to stick to it in Sri Lanka...but then again...maybe I will..since..it's..Sri Lanka..hmm...*pensive*
I've always wondered though, what's so 'special' (for lack of a better word) about the number 21?
'Cause a friend of mine has this meditation exercise where you're supposed to breathe in and out 21 times and repeat that 21 times...and the site says something about doing the exercises 21 times...

we do those sometimes in my yoga class.
i don't find them so great, but i'm glad you like them.
i don't knkow if you SHOULD do them or not, but i don't think they could hurt that much. it's certainly not like running 5k every day.

Ah...so people do like them :).
I don't know...its just something about them that perks the hell out of me. When I don't do them...I feel like crap (low enerygy, s**t sleep etc). 21...I have no idea either. I wish it were 42 (Hitchikers Guide pun :))
Cheers.

Judging from the pictures, it looks like something I could hope to do. I'll give that a try when I'm over this awful cold. :)
It looks like something you could intergrate into your own personal yoga routine, to add variety. One of my yoga teachers used to occasionally change around the routine, and I think that helps.
