Hi, I am hoping to start exercising more regularly this summer. I want to have variety and relieve stress. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for routines that I could do? I have a treadmill, basic taebo, beach body workout tapes, exercise bike and weights, as well as winsor pilates. But I want to figure out how to use them to get good results. What types of workouts work the best for you all? I would like more lean muscles and less bulk. And I was also wondering if any of you do yoga? Do you like it?

I am just really looking to get in shape for life and feel better about myself by dropping extra lbs and getting healthier.

I was also wondering for those of you who are runners, how much do you run every week?

if you work your muscles (ie, weight training, etc) you will gain muscle. If you work cardio, you'll get leaner, which will show what muscles you have. So, i recommend focusing on cardio.

since it's summer, get outside: run, bike, swim. enjoy yourself.

I run...was running about 25-30 miles/week, that's dropped to 20-25 (I'm a slacker) but I intend upon upping it again...

I also do weight training, and the recumbant bike sometimes (I wish I had a real one); I used to do pilates and yoga.

All are really great.

:nigel: Cheers!

I do yoga and I lift light weights on a regular basis. I'll work my lower body one day then my upper body on another day.

I also ride my elliptical trainer now and then... and play DDR.
