Finally, warmer weather is arriving....Should be low 70F the next week!! Going hiking today and setting out some new bird and squirrel feeders 'G' and I built in the garage this winter. My favorite tweeters are arriving from the South. Blue Jays and Cardinals are abundant at this end of the block. It's not uncommon to look out the front and see 10-20 Cardinals roosting around. I got Spring Fever baby!!

Geez, KC... send some of that up here would you? here it's a "balmy" 1 degree Celsius, or about 33/34 degrees on the real temperature scale (man I hate this stupid metric system here).

Goooooood mornin' y'all!
I hear ya about not being able to sleep. I was in bed by 9:30 last night, but I tossed and turned for 45 minutes at least. Then when the alarm went off at 6, I was so tired I hit the snooze twice. It's like... what's with this- I go to bed early so I can feel rested the next morning, but then I feel just as tired as when I stay up late. Well, maybe I just don't notice the good effects of more sleep, but they're there anyway.

Have a nice day, good to see you around again.
Hope the transmission thing will work out the best way and look forward to see the travel story.

I'm excited, tonight I get to go see Les Miserables with Seadolphin. it's one of my favorite musicals but I have never seen a live preformance. Only the video taped ones, which doesn;t have quite the same power as I think the live play will have.

Ummm...yeah. Something's not right. Either the scale at the supermarket is wrong, or I'm losing more weight than is healthy to lose in such a short amount of time. I've lost 15 pounds in a little over a month. Ugh. Probably from all the illnesses I've had recently. >< Now I'm going to be paranoid about this...

Kat- it's never too accurate when you climb up into the fruit basket like that. :p
(What scale do you have in a supermarket big enough to weigh a person?? We don't have this here!)

i had such a horrible, awful, rotten, stinky crappy day at work. i had this really nice couple come buy a phone though and they're so cute and really sweet, so they were the highlight of my day. they had tried to buy that phone a few days ago and something happened that they couldn't and i felt really bad :( so i was glad they got to come back and get the phone after all :)
but then some other junk had me on the phone with customer service morons all frickin afternoon trying to fix one mess after another, and none of them got fixed.
them: "what's the cellphone number"
me: "well it won't show on your computer, but it's ------"
them: "hmmmmm i don't see it here, let me look again"
me: "no no you won't see it there, cause everything's messed up"
them: "well it's not here, it doesn't exist"
me: "uh huuuuh, now shut up and listen"
*an hour and a half later, having bounced between 5 different reps, having to go through the same crap every time, the customer calls back, totally frustrated and says he doesn't want the damn phone anymore, after i had to listen to his wife scream at me for 15 minutes*

LF: its exactly this reason why I have respect for those working with the general public, and why I realize that I could never do it myself.
In my opinion, no one should ever have to put up with screaming from customers. You did nothing wrong. They are mad at the company, not you, and have no right whatsoever to raise their tone with you. I would have just hung up, sayng call back when you wish to speak in civil tone. Of course, that'd probably only get me fired.
You have a lot of patience to put up with that... you have to respect anyone who has to deal with customers like that.

The guy I was seeing (for almost a month now) suddenly stopped talking to me. He seems to be avoiding all attempts that I make to contact him to figure out what's going on. I just can't figure out why the heck he's doing this..
Needless to say, I'm very unhappy about the situation.

Uh, yeah. That would be me. :D
But only after I have suffered through numerous idiots.
There is an assistant manager at a Best Buy that probably still flinches when he hears a voice like mine. The little weasel.
I also gave the folks in their delivery office a cussin'. They learned that you never, ever, call me a liar.
I once told an HMO rep that I would be on the next flight to their office to settle their hash in person. Told 'em I was comin' to kick ass and chew bubble gum, but I was all out of bubble gum.
Once threatened to review the immigration status of a sales weasel for a furniture store.
In each of the above cases, being reasonable got me no where. Blowin' up got me my money each time.
On the flip side, treat me nice and I'm a sweetheart of a customer. :D

Tame the difference in your cases, though, is that the clerk/salesperson was incompetent or improperly trained for the task at hand. Therefore, it's a justifiable blowin' up :)
In LF's case... some customer was pissed not for something caused by her, but by the company or another salesperson. In her case, I think she should have the right to be just as nasty back. I know Iwould. :)

On a different note... I gotta go to the accountant's office tomorrow and get my taxes done. I hate this time of year cause I find out what I need to pay. Some year I ought to start paying taxes monthly rather than annually.

I'm almost sure that LF's customer thinks the same......
Customers can be nasty, it's a challenge to "turn them around".
I think it's extra frustrating when you are paid on basis of the sales you make.
You know what stinks? When the customer says you (the company) is wrong, you know the customer is right, but the company "forces" you to tell a different story........

i had a summer job working as a tech support agent for verisign, and they treat their customers like crap. and all of them would calll up an yell at me for it. its just important to realize who your yelling at. probably the person your talking to could care less about the company, and would love to do exactly what you want them to do, but verisign was just crappy. and there wasnt much i could do. And after only 3 weeks of training, i did my best, but when people are yelling at you all day it really starts to get to you.
and by the way, i would not sugest anyone ever use verisign!
