Avalon i'm sorry to hear about Trev's accident. that's scary. was he warned not to drive on those meds? i'm sure his insurance will never quite be the same :( that really sucks.

i hope he won't keep driving until he's off the meds, next time he may not be so lucky. i take it none of the kiddies on the bus were hurt? lucky.

lucky lucky lucky. :(

time to order more cheques, and i think i just might get them from Greenpeace! gonna go check and see how much it costs to do it. the current design is of the Rainbow Warrior (bigass GP boat that they recently used to block an oil tanker) and i'm sure it has some kind of quote or something as well. i was gonna just get them from the bank but i've wanted to start giving more to GP and can't afford it. if i'm gonna pay for the cheques anyways i may as well give it to them instead of the bank!

Unfortunately, no. I miss reading Time magazine, NYT, and The Washington though. I picked them up at our local store along with the occasional Democrat and Chronicle, The Globe and Mail, and USA Today. Then the store stopped carrying all the big new papers. (wasted way to much money on them anyways). Then my subscription ended with Time, and I forgot to pay. I have zip to read now. :(

Have you seen Capitol Eye or Mother Jones? I've heard good things about them. I'm getting a subscription to Mother Jones soon.

I feel deprived of an education. I want to go to college so I get all that good stuff.

BTW: Why are we in distress? (Your avatar)

everytime i see your avatar, it reminds me of this parody of the US flag (http://eddie-vedder.com/TenClub/TC19_11.jpg).

p.s. the more of them you can name, the worse off you are ;)

I'm thinking maybe I could take next year off of school and do a year of voluntary service. I've wanted to be a VSer since I heard about that from people at my church.

I think I want to not go on to college and run away to Great Britain. Not for volunteering sort of reasons, though. Selfish reasons...

But that would really screw me over on classes that are only offered every two years. Grrr... stink-o.

It's really looking like I can't go to Barcelona through the Brethren Colleges Abroad program. It's much too expensive. I've heard about another program that's more affordable, but I need to find out more about it and then petition my college's Provost to ok me going and transferring credits back.

Oh yeah, and my car might need a new transmition. It's technically my parents' car, and they pay for the major repairs, but they can't afford a new transmition for it, either.

Gee, Apple, I don't think you can really lord your own academic habits over me, now can you?

That was mean. I'm sorry, Apple!

Hey! I may be being lazy right now. BUT, when I do work on my school work it is normally for 8-12 hours (normally 4-5 days a week). So... to you I am the lord of academic habits. ;)

Hmm, I thought Shell was (originally) dutch.

Chrysler is in this joint-venture with Daimler-benz so I don't see them as 100% american.

Considered a used transmission yet?

Could be (very) cheap from a scrapyard or a place that trades in collision cars.

Two words:

Public Library

You can lend all kinds of books, some also lend magazines.
Most have reading rooms where you can read newspapers.

Our Public Library sucks. I do want to go to the one downtown, but my mom refuses to allow me to even get my permit, so she won't take me. But, what she doesn't know, is that my father said he'll take me. *evil grin* Now, she needs to cough up some of the money she owes me so I can pay for the stupid written test.

Grrr... I can't sleep once again. Tossing and turning until I fall asleep hours later, and then waking up every 10-15 minutes really sucks. :(
