Yep, it's my BirthDay :D
The girls at work gave me a homemade strawberry pie :lick:
They made sure it didn't have any animal ingredients in the crust or anything. Isn't that sweet???? They even put candles in it and sang!
And it's a beautiful sunny day here. It's supposed to go to 72. Perfect spring weather!

that's how i see it too. so many people just go to work and then go home and think about work. why do our whole lives have to revolve around our jobs? they're just jobs. there are more important things to live for.

Hopefully increased amounts of work don't decrease the amount you live, and hopefully there's some way to both work and live moderate amounts.
You work so you can survive, and you put money aside so you can go do fun things. Then, when you go do those fun things, you get way behind on work, and everyone's mad at you for leaving.

so i went and got my paystub and asked for my record of employment and she said they won't send it to me until my last paycheque is issued, which will probably be april 30th. wtf? so i can't get EI yet i guess? pah. it's only comission cheques i'm getting, probably a total of $200. so i'm still going to go back to hrdc tomorrow and find out what's going to happen. i need that EI or i won't be able to EAT!

I leaned over the stove to check on the rice and...what's that smell? AAAHHH! My hair! It's an electric stove so there wasn't any real damage to my hair, but I'll remember to be careful next time.
