AN IRISH FRIENDSHIP WISH

§May there always be work for your hands to do;
§May your purse always hold a coin or two;
§May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
§May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
§May the hand of a friend always be near you;
§May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Apple,
I was on two different service trips. One was 8 days long to my own hometown (I left a little early), and the other was only 2 days, and that was to Columbus. I got back yesterday at 4:30pm, and by 5, I was sound asleep. My mom woke me up at 9pm, to make sure I didn't have anything I had to do yet that day. I went back to bed at 10 and got up this morning at 6:30. I'm still very very tired, but I'm functioning.

Ceryna,
I did get to talk with Mr. Gorgeous, but not as much as I would have liked. I've found him to be as good or better than I hoped he would be, and of course he isn't perfect. Alas, he probably only thinks of me as the Euchre Champion, but that's a start. My sister and I totally trounced him at Euchre several times on the trip. It wasn't my fault-- we just had good cards!!!

I better run to class, but it's good to be back! I have an incredibly big load of things I have to do for the second half of this semester, so I'm expecting to sacrifice VB-time for other worthwhile endeavours.

Why doesn't my modem work like it's supposed to? *sniffle* :cry:
Perhaps I shouldn't worry too much about it, I'll be back on DSL in a week.. at least I should be ..

I want my car back too, dang it.

and I still don't entirely get what this thread is supposed to be about. Call me dense. Or maybe it's because my hair is blonde?

Stress-free slut, for once. I've gotten myself caught up in Ye Ole IB Art Classe. I've cut my fingers open many times over the past 24 hours with the X-acto knives, and it sort of hurts to type. But I shan't let that keep my from slutting...

*yawn*

day off tomorrow. let's see, must go downtown to the walk-in clinic and then the drugstore and maybe clean up around the house and sort out some budgeting junk. i'm horrible for having to have every little thing planned out in advance sometimes. it's wierd though cause other times i'll just wing it and do whatever comes along. at work it sucks cause i have to sort out exactly how to do something step by step hours before it needs to be done cause i'm afraid of not knowing how to do it when the time comes and looking like i don't know what i'm doing (i don't)

mmmmm ramen noodles are calling me.

I used to be really prone to cutting myself when chopping up a bell pepper. I guess bell peppers hate me, but I have since learned how to out smart them, so that they're no longer capable of directing the knife towards my hand :D

Strolling down to the Plaza today, need some doggie treats from 3 Dog Bakery...I love that place. All the little cakes and different milk bones they construct are such a gas. The people love me down their too, because I'm one of the few humans that will sample the treats. I want to know what my doggie is eating.

My cousins used to eat cat food when they were little. ANd milkbones.

Well I wasn't going to post for a while here, but we had a bad day yesterday:

Trevor got t-boned by a school bus and smashed his truck up. (He's fine- just pissed off). He blanked out from some medication he's been taking, and when he de-blanked he was halfway through a red light, with a bus hurtling at him, and only a foot away from the *SMASH!*

I, on the otherhand, did get my new car yesterday, so at the very least it could be said that he has good timing: we have an extra car in the driveway right now...

My kitty is such a little pest sometimes. Last night as I was drifting off to sleep I heard something fall in the bathroom. I didn't think much of it, as Tang likes to knock everything into the bathtub. This morning I got in the shower & realized that the little pest had thrown some of my shower stuff out the window (which he recently ripped the screen off of!). Silly kitty...he's lucky he's so cute :)

One time I made homemade dogbiscuits, and my dad decided to try one - he was quite unimpressed, but the canine gang still loved 'em! *g*

Cool, send me the recipe, I'll give them a shot. It would be much more affordable, if I could make em on my own.

That's funny.

At least you didn't wake up with your leg in a hairball. It was so disgusting! Then when I went to take a shower, and there was a puddle of cat pee in the bath tub.

Hey Apple, do you live near a college or university? I just discovered the amazing wealth of peridicols at my uni's periodicol room @ the main library. It's amazing - everything from the Times to foreign newspapers, rolling Stone, and a few hundred quarterly journals. Great stuff for those of us who still read ;)

I lost the recipe that I used, but I did find a good source via google: http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/recipe_dogbiscuit.htm
The vegan one there looks somewhat similar to the one I made though .. it was fun making them - I whipped out all my cookie cutters, even though the dogs cared less about the shapes *g*
