I get all confused when trying to make computerized charts and graphs, too. By hand is much lower tech and certainly less complicated for me.

thanks Robert, i'll keep everything filed away safely. i'm thinking i want to buy myself a filing cabinet for the house, to keep all important papers in. i tend to lose things and was just told today that by law i'm supposed to keep all tax info for 7 years. pfft fat chance of that happening, i'm sure to lose it all.
though secretly this may just be an excuse to go shopping. there's a place down the road that sells used office furniture, i'm dying to check it out.
hopefully because my pay was so much higher this time around if i get EI it'll actually be enough to survive off of until i find new work. figures, when you depend on tips for half your income it doesn't count for beans when you apply for benefits. comission however, comes on my paycheque so that should count.

Tuesday. :) I have a messed up schedule. I work 10pm to 8am Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, and Monday night. It's not too bad though, I work three days and have a day off then work one day and have two days off.

It's OK I suppose, but it must be a pain going to work when most people are heading out on the town. Or is that your thing at all?

our roommate has been on midnight shift all week. he's sleeping right now but then people from his work are coming over tonight so my bf and i are stuck cleaning the house while trying not to make too much noise. fun fun fun.
actually last night was the last midnight shift, they're going down to just 2 shifts instead of the 3, so everyone on midnights had a party this morning after their shift. it was at some guy's house i think, $5 for all the beer you can drink and all the chili you can eat.

well yeah if you bought beer at the beer store it'd cost a lot more than that. i just think one person was hosting it and didn't mind paying a large portion of the expenses. everyone was however asked to bring in their winning tim hortons tabs to pool together and buy breakfast

i'll explain for the non-canadians: tim hortons (coffee and donut place on like every corner. low budget version of starbucks ;)) has a roll up the rim contest where you can win muffins and coffees and things. people tend to collect the winning tabs and just leave them lying around forgotten until they expire anyways. so everyone brought in all their tabs and they cashed them in and got a buttload of free pastries and cookies and things to share among the group. i even sacrificed my tabs to him though i wasn't going, because none of the food is vegan anyways.

Its such a beautiful day today. And tomorrow is supposed to be even better--what a wonderful weekend it shall be!! :) RSJ & I have lots of fun things planned & the great weather just puts me in an especially good mood. Hopefully the little brats in my class won't ruin my great mood today.

And I got last term's exam results back today. I was absolutely convinced that I'd failed everything, but I got loads of A's and B's.. somehow :D

it's not nasty or whiney or anything. i copied into word and printed it though and it's 2 full pages long. keeping a copy handy to take to the hrdc office monday. tried to call like Robert suggested to make an appointment and couldn't seem to get a real person. also called labour ministry like my mom suggested and they said they can't do squat for me. they said i could maybe call the human rights department but that they probably can't do anything either. other than that she said if i want to pursue it i have to do it through a lawyer. hello didn't you hear me, i got fired, i can't afford a lawyer. yeesh.
