Ok, I'm bored so we're going to have a contest. The winner will get a $25 gift certificate to Vegan Essentials. Here's what you need to do...

Post a link to VeggieBoards on another message board in a thread that has to do with vegetarianism. The thread can not be anti-veg/AR (we don't want to attract the wrong people). Don't spam! Make a decent post and somehow work the link into it. You can link to our main page or to a specific thread. Or you can put a link to VB in your signature (if they allow it). The link must be new.

Or...

If you have a website place a link to VeggieBoards on it.

Once you've done either one post a link to the page here (or you can pm it to me). I'll place all eligible entries into a hat (or a bowl) and do a random drawing. Only one entry per registered member. Contest ends at the end of May. I've probably forgotten something so I reserve the right to change the rules as we go. :)

On my blog, I use www.veggieboards.com as the URL for the "visit my website" option. Funny thing is, I put my blog's URL on the website section of my VB profile. It's a neverending loop!

Does that count? Should I try harder?

When you sign up there is a feild that says "enter the user name of the person who refered you here"

...there should be a referral url with your ID in it. The last number in the url should be your member number. If you use that as a link it automatically counts your referrals, otherwise the person has to type your name in.

yeah, i was going to ask about that too - i was going to tell some folks on lj they should join anyway, before i even knew there was a contest. but it would be pointless to share the link where i did the promo, because my lj is friends only. would that count as an entry into the contest anyway?
