I ran a 1/2 marathon today.

This was one of the harder halfs I have ran. The first 6 miles were straight uphill. Ouch.

Wow, sounds like a tough one! Good work.

I was thinking about doing an easy run yesterday, but I realized that it wouldn't help my upcoming race at all, so i stayed home and vegged. That's also my plan for most of the rest of the week! Taper is the only time I really get to be lazy.

Hi Hamsters, my training schedule is a couple of days off so I’m just going to be doing my long run tomorrow instead of this past Sun. 20 miles…….I have to get the doubts I’m having out of my head and focus on getting it done. Wish me luck.

Countess, a trampoline sounds like fun! Great work.

Captain, way to go on the race! Uhg, hills…blech!

markc7, hehehe I’m looking forward to taper time! I just have to get through tomorrow.

pseudo_vegan, I love your new avatar! Great workout.

annabanana, Way to go on your race last week! Great run.

remilard,

cyk, awesome hamstering.

vegetable, good luck on your race! You’ll do great!

Virtue, great workout! How are you feeling? Is your pain gone?

Brandon, great running! It takes motivation to run in the rain.

Go Hamsters!! :vebo:

03 May 2005:
Did my upper work yesterday to make up for Monday's crap out...only 100 cable-crunches, however...the abs STILL hurt from Sunday >_<

A whopping 13:30 run with the Omni... ...sort of counter productive as to why I invited him...I didn't want to leave him behind so we just walked after like 10 minutes and then a few sprints here and there :grr:

04 May 2005:
40-min. run @ 5:50 A.M. :nana:!!!!! So, it wasn't as early as I planned...and not as long...but I did it nonetheless, and hopefully tomorrow will be a little easier...

I also plan on doing lower work today, and maybe some recumbant bike after work.

:nigel: Cheers.

That 2 hour tennis practice last night turned into 40 minutes of serving, I missed practice due to not being alble to cut class to go like I normally do on tuesday.

Today:
Weights: Shoulders and back
2 hour tennis practice (later, no class to get in the way tonight)

didn't do anything today or yesterday but monday, whew... first off, i bought myself a bike finally. so monday i had the day off and it was finally nice enough to take the new bike out for a test ride. i had 2 errands to run, across town from each other. would take me all day walking. so i took the bike, it was great. got everything done so much faster and got a workout at the same time.
then the bf got home and we both biked over to the gym. did the usual stuff and a little extra on the arms. now that i know how to properly use the bicep and tricep stuff i do find i'm getting a little stronger. and did the pull-down machine, i find it works all areas of my upper arms, shoulders and back, and even my abs. yet it's pretty easy to do. i quite like it :)
today i went to scratch the back of my arm and realized i could really feel my tricep and that made me so happy :hamster: they're not big or defined by any means but it's the most muscle i've ever had, especially on my arms. very encouraging

bf and i are both not feeling well but if we're in not too rough shape tomorrow after our dentist visit and errands i'm dragging him to the gym

Yesterday I ran to the track with my group, but didn't join them in their speedwork. My race in on Saturday, and I'm going to spend all of today and tomorrow resting.
