Question about worn out shoes

What do you guys do with your workout shoes when they are too fried to use anymore?? I have five or six pairs cluttering up my closet. It seems a shame to throw them away, but donating them to goodwill seems crass since they are very worn. I know recycling is possible, but I don't know where this can be done. Thanks.

I use mine for kayaking, muddy hiking, etc. You only need one or two crap pairs for that, though.

There must be someplace to donate them to, though. I've met plenty of people in the world who would find your crappiest pair of shoes to be a godsend.

Next time you travel to India, Africa, etc., give them away.
