I thought this might be the right place to put this (it could also go in the entertainment forum, but you'll see why I put it here).
Anyway, Lisa DeBenedictis is just an absolutely amazing singer, she has 2 albums released, and she is what I consider to be a real artist. She doesn't have a contract with any big labels, but rather with a small one called Magnatune. Magnatune are in my opinion great, the artist gets half of whatever you donate for the music & magnatune get the other half.

If you click licence you can then download it for free by clicking creative commons and then download. If you are able to give some money though, that is great, and you also get rewarded by being given access to higher quality recordings of the music, including Ogg encoded versions (great for Free-Software people like myself).
Another artist that I'm currently liking is this guy. http://magnatune.com/artists/berkman his music is very relaxing, I think it is African influenced.
Well I hope that I create some more DeBenedictis fans, she is great :D
