i never tried jerky in the meat form, when i did eat meat. it freaked me out for some reason.

I have had beef and venison jerky in the past (once for each) and I was always reminded of chewing on a boot. It was never my thing either.

Here's a short promo film for the 1962 World Fair in Seattle, with an obvious focus on The Telephone Company. In the opening sequence, the monorail is shown going right past the spot where the building that houses my server now exists. It's fun seeing the gee-whiz technology of tomorrow -- push button dialing, speed dial, numbers punched into plastic cards, etc. Direct-dial calls completed in as little as 20 seconds! Many of the larger structures shown are still there. The American Science Exhibit is now the Pacific Science Center.
