I did some searching, as swear I've seen this discussed before, but I could only find threads on shaving/shave creams. I'm wondering if any of you gals do something different to get those smooth legs.

I use that chamomile-sugar stuff. The smoothness of my legs could be called into question but I am lazy and hate shaving all the time. This way I only have to pay attention every couple of months, and it really is growing in thinner the more I do it.

Only alternatives I know are all expensive like Laser hair removal. Ouch! Does your leg hair grown super fast or something?
I only have to shave my legs twice a week at most and takes maybe 60 seconds or less for each leg. I do it while in the bath or standing in the shower. Takes no time or effort.

Heh, perhaps you're underestimating my laziness Veggiegoddess. Maybe it does grow really fast, I used to shave every second day when I was younger.

Maybe
I too am lazy! Very LAZY!!!!! I guess I would be more lax on it if I felt I had to shave every coupel day too though, but luckily all my hair grows super slow! Lucky for my legs, but my head is another topic! I want that hair to grow and it growns maybe an inch and a half a year!

Ugh, I swear I get too many vitamins or something, 'cause I need to shave every day if I'm attempting to stay smooth. My bfs would always complain when I went for teh every-other day attempt.

But, as far as alternatives to shaving, I like waxing except that there's that outgrowth period required during which you either have to go natural or hide under pants.

What about those string things? Have you guys seen that? A lady holds a string in her mouth, and it's all twisted up, and she pulls your hairs out one by one? I guess it's a very very slow alternative to waxing? But maybe it could be used sooner than wax requires. Don't know.

Wish I didn't feel like I have to shave. I'd love to be a boy, for that reason. I'd have a scruffy face, hairy pits, and foresty legs and I'd be okay. Sigh.

I always have had problems shaving. My hair is very dark and when it's shaved you can still see the bottom of the hair follicle. I don't want to shave too close because if I do I get ingrown hairs like crazy (since I got curly hair, my father has the same problem) so I use a single blade and go very lightly. Also In the winter I get little red bumps on my upper legs that bleed when shaved over.

It used to be if I didn't shave my armpits every day I would get horrible ingrown hairs. Well for some reason that's not true anymore, and I get less ingrown hairs in my armpits. I guess my hair changed somehow.

I tried waxing once(cold wax), it worked but when the hair grew back I noticed it looked like there were tiny little scabs in the hair shaft. Well I shaved after that and all the tiny little scabs came off and my legs were bleeding like crazy. So I guess I won't wax again.

Any indication that I ever had hair disappears completely when I shave. I only need to maybe once a week, and even then you can't SEE it (its really light), you can just feel it. I like smooooth though, so in the summer I'll shave a couple times a week just to stay silky.
