Things like fancy undies and bras and stuff...
Do you just use regular laundry detergent? Or is there a vegan version of "Woolite?"

I actually use my leftover shampoo! I have long hair so I always use more conditioner than shampoo and that lets me get rid of the excess. It always smells nice, makes lots of suds and rinses well. At first I got all bent out of shape because it was for hair, but soap is soap, right? Don't let The Man sell you 4,000 different kinds of soap.
Mind you, I don't have too many frilly things, this is mostly for special sweaters, nylons [uck] and yoga clothes etc. Seems to be working out fine.

I use a smaller amount of the same stuff I use for all my laundry.

I'm just wondering how you would "hand wash" something. I just always threw everything in the washer so I'm clueless.

me too. i've attempted handwashing of shirts before, not really knowing what to do (i basically scrunched them around with soap and water), but i just toss all my underwear and bras (including the more delicate stuff and all the bras which say handwash only) into a lingerie bag thing and put it in the washer.

In the washer, on cold with regular liquid detergent on the gentle cycle. Love the gentle cycle! :lovesign:

I hand wash in a sink. Not being very "endowed," a lot of my bras are padded or lined. They seem to hold up better by handwashing.
For bras and panties, I just soak them in soapy water. I kinda swish them around some and squeeze soapy water through them. (Panties get a little extra scrubbing.) Then I rinse, squeeze between towels, and hang dry.
This is for special stuff... not everyday wear. ;)

Handwashing is probably best, my washer has an extremely delicate cycle, but I still sometimes choose to handwash things. I usually just use a very small amount of my regular soap.

I just throw all my undies and bras that I'm washing in one of those delicates bags (just a mesh bag so they don't get beat up against all the other clothes) and just throw them in with my regular wash. If they're extra special :naughty: things, I usually was them by hand in the sink with a little bit of good smelling shampoo or soap.

I use Ecover's delicate wash. I sometimes have a hard time finding it, but last time I was at my local co-op, they had it on sale for $2.50 a bottle! I wash the majority of my clothes in the washing machine on the delicate or hand wash setting, so it makes a lot of sense for me to stock up!

They have since changed the packaging on the delicate wash to look more modern and mainstream.

I want to start hand-washing my bras and undies as the bras are getting streched out and one got bent out of shape in the washer. They also seem to be a lint magnet in there. I was just paranoid that I wouldn't get them clean enough.
