Frontline Plus

Does anyone know if Frontline plus is safe to give to 9 week old kittens? I called the makers of FL plus, and they told me it was safe, but I wanted to get other opinions. My kittens are covered in fleas. I don't want them to be uncomfortable, but I don't want them to have a reaction to the meds and die on me. Has anyone had a cat who had an adverse reaction?

I never used Frontline Plus but we used Advantage and they have two versions. One for kitties below 10 pounds (or something like that) and one for kitties above 10 pounds. We used the under 10 pounds version on our kitty since she has been living with us. (since she was 8 weeks old) and never had a flea problem or a reaction problem.

I'd check with your vet but as far I know it is ok. I doubt the manufacturer's would get it wrong because people often need to fle-treat young kittens.

Its fine for cats and kittens over 8 wks. Its topical, so it won't get absorbed into their system. Do you have a flea problem now? If not, and they're indoors **which they should be until they've had all of their vaccines**, you'd probably be fine without.
