The new gallery is ready! You can now upload and view photos by going to http://www.veggieboards.com/pics/

You can now upload/edit/delete your own photos and add/edit/delete your own descriptions. Everything is tied into your login for the boards. Only registered members can upload/view photos in the gallery. Registered members also have the ability to rate photos on a scale of 1-5.

Many of you have asked for better sorting options. You can now view photos by time, ratings, most views, alphabetical, or random. Also, the four newest photos are displayed across the top of the gallery home page.

The My Gallery link allows you to view all of your uploaded photos.

The My Favorites link allows you to create an album of your favorite photos. To add a photo to your favorites album just click the "add to favorites" link under the photo.

You can also report inappropriate pictures by clicking the "report photo" link.

Something new and this is important... Each member is alloted 1024 kb of disk space (enough for approximately 8-12 images). Contributing Members are alloted four times that amount. Each photo must be less than 125 kb. When you go to submit a photo it will display how much space you are alloted, how much you have used, and how much you have left. If you run out of space you can always go back and delete old photos to make room for new ones. Also, your images can be no wider than 600 pixels. If you need help reducing the actual size or file size of your photo please post in this forum or PM me.

Also, photos in the "everything else" category may be subject to removal as new posts are added. I have every intention of leaving them up for at least 90 days.

I will not be moving pictures over from the old gallery but I do still have access to them. If you would like to have one moved (and can not reupload it yourself) let me know and I'll move it.

It's pretty easy to use but if you have questions you can post them here.

There is now a little camera icon in the upper right-hand corner of each post. If the person has posted photos clicking it will take you to an album of their photos. If they haven't you will receive a message that the album doesn't contain any images.

I've also added a link to the photo album to the list of forums (under Community Assistance). I think it looks pretty good. :)

I clicked on your camera and it says I don't have permission to view this category. Is that right?

Oh crud. Hmm... Yeah, I know what that is. Let me think about it.

I'm going to try and upload some pics this morning. Let me know if I shouldn't (if you're working on it or something).

Ok, I'm going to remove it. I know what the problem it but it isn't going to work quite the way I want it to.

You should be fine to upload. So go ahead whenever you're ready. :)

For those of you looking at pictures but not sharing pictures... you should feel guilty!!! ;)

I would look at more and actually rate some as well. I'm a restricted user??

heheh. i did feel guilty too so i submitted my best, most recent picture. any single females of or near the same age are welcome to call.

oh, and please.. someone post pictures of their turtles, i want to see lots of them. aww turtles! :love:

I dont know the photo album was empty to me and this is what it said "This category does not contain any images."

i also couldnt add a pic when i tired maybe i just havent figured it out yet i will try to figure it out.

Be sure you pick a category when you go to upload the picture. If you leave it at "member galleries" (the default) it probably won't work.

I checked and you should in fact be able to rate photos. Someone please try again.

It's still not letting me.. it said the same thing, "User comments not allowed." This time it gave me a field to reply on my pic. But when I to hit submit, it gives that message... same if I try to rate somebody else's pic, only I dont get the field for other people's pic.. just the rate menu.

yup, still doesn't work. you know, michael, you could just make us all administrators and then we'd be able to rate the pictures. :D

Well I know you can't comment on pictures but I definitely have it set so that you can rate pictures. I'll have to check into it some more.
