Flogging Molly or Dropkick Murphy's?

Who do you prefer?

I absolutely love Flogging Molly, especially live. Dave King is a madman on stage. Their shows are by far the most energetic that I've been to.

but, when asked to choose, Flogging Molly, BY FAR. i hate Dropkick Murphys.

I like them both. I saw Dropkick Murphys at Warped Tour and they were completely awesome. I definitely love Flogging Molly too though!

Flogging Molly. Dropkick Murphys are a little too generic-sounding for me.. I tend to like "gimmicky" and/or unique souding bands.

I used to love Dropkick Murphy's. They play awesome straight up punk rock, buuuuuuut I can't take their lyrics anymore. They're just so dumb. My friend ruined them for me by mocking their lyrics, and it's just so true.

"Don't take his booze awayyy!" Terrible, haha.

As well, their stupid fans ruined them for me too, with their banners and pretending they're at a soccer match. grrrr

blegh, Dropkick Murphys, straight up punk rock, blah blah... Courtney Love is more punk than they will ever be. Leftover Crack is more punk than they will ever be. I've always hated them.

Flogging Molly is allowed to be the way they are cos they're straight up pub music, and i like that about them. all the way. but the only way i'll listen to them again is if i'm in an irish pub.

both. i'm a poet so most lyrics sound terrible to me, so i just jump in and enjoy singing about the booze. there's a time and a place for that, you know.

but musically speaking, i looooove flogging molly. and i agree, their shows rock. absolutely.

i dunno, for some reason it doesn't matter to me if they're not technically perfect. it's the spirit that counts. and flogging molly has a ton of spirit.

Haha, I hope you mean that in a "DKM are so not punk that they're less punk than Leftover Crack" sorta way. Cause they're one of the biggest hypocrits in the "punk" scene.

I love CV's and some of Leftover Crack's music, but in reality, they're just a bunch of losers.
