I ran 53 km this morning. I was practicing running at night with only a headlamp for light, which was fun. It was also my first trail run of the year, though the paths were still pretty muddy. I held back and tried to run very slowly the whole time, and so felt like I could have gone another 10 or 20 km at the end if I had to.

Monday is a rest day! :D

::le sigh::

25-min. lap around a 2.6-mile path... and then I tried to go some more but I couldn't.

My first race-thing is two weeks out and I'm freaking because I don't think I can get my mile-time down by then...granted, there was snow and muck and that probably slowed me down in spots but...I only went half the distance! I don't know how I'll go 5 at that pace...bleh.

Oh, and the weight-room was closed so no lower work today

:nigel: Cheers, hammies!

1.5 Hours of Brazilian Jiujitsu... Warm ups, drills, then rolling. Feels good to be back, so far my shoulder is feeling okay for now. Tournament May 7th, so I should train hard, but not that hard and hurt my shoulder again.

A few rotator cuff excercises.

Hi Funk! :hi:

Hi Hamsters! 16 mile run last night. I'll rest today then do exercise class the rest of the week + a few short runs.

pseudo_vegan, maybe you shouldn't worry about your time for this race, you might do better if you just relax and have fun. There will be other races.

Go Hamsters!! :vebo: :hamster: :vebo:

I road my bike this morning and spent the better part of the day walking 24 children around a very large botanical garden. I think the botanical garden counts.

(Slightly OT, but I'm worried about my time b/c I'm like right on the border between two different starting "waves" and I don't know if I should sign up for the "shorter" time or just figure I won't shave down enough and go for the last wave...piff...)

Eeneeway...

25 minutes of ab-work: 400 cable-crunches @ 40-lbs. / 120 leg-lifts >_<

46 minutes of running...2 laps around this park...first lap @ 22 minutes; second @ 24... *shrug* :p

:nigel: Cheers, hammies!

I ran 9 x 350m hills last night. I didn't wear a watch, but I'm pretty sure they were a bit slow. Oh well. I'll do an easy eight or ten km tonight.

hey i've never posted in here before but my trainer called me an athlete (me! athletic! hahaha) the other day so i think i qualify now ;)

been going to the gym regularly, about every other day. i don't see a huge difference yet appearance-wise but my weight is back up finally, not quite to my goal yet but halfway there in 3 weeks whereas i'd struggled with no success for 2 years just by focusing on diet alone.
so i'm feeling rather encouraged. plus he upped the weights on everything yesterday and i didn't find it much harder than before, so that must mean i'm getting stronger :)

so yesterday was a session with my trainer, i did lots...
warmed up on the crosstrainer
did lower back (this contraption that locks your feet in and a hip rest and you bend over and straighten etc) with a weighted ball, 10lb i think
abs, leg extensions and curls, chest press, all at 15kg, and the lateral raise machine that i hate i'm still at 5kg on but it's getting easier.
then he showed me a new machine, the glute press, it's awkward, and did some free weights.

Tomorrow is lower-work and another time-trial
