An aquaintance of mine (one of my workout instructors that I adore and have been going to for years) is doing the MS 150 bike ride next weekend (riding her bike from Houston,TX to Austin,TX) and I think that is so amazing. I wanted to make a pledge to show her my support but the bike ride is for the National MS Society and they conduct animal research.

Uggg that makes me so mad. I want to be a supportive friend but I do not want to give to give to any money to support this. I guess there is nothing I can do but just not make a pledge but I am glad I checked first before I gave anything.

Sucks they test on animals.

I would never support that.
Here, if you don't already have the list, it's of charities that do and don't test on animals, so you can still help people, without hurting someone else. :)

Donate to another MS charity that doesn't test on animals. And just let her know that you did contribute to the cause, just not that charity in particular. That's what I do. :)
