These are some of the earrings I've made recently, for anyone wishing to see them.

I'm going to be selling them again over a teacher workday in April. I decided I prefered to do that instead of having them out during the school day...

good idea :)
good luck with that, and here is another question i have for you
what's holding the beads together ? metal wire ? and do you use pliers to put them together ? .... and have you tried using polymer clay to make your own beads ? it's fun because you have like endless possibilities, and it bakes at really low temperatures - about 270 degrees

Yes, a metal wire called a 'headpin'. Then I use a pair of needle nosed pliers to form a loop around the fishhook and twist it closed. It's pretty simple actually. I would think that anyone, finding how simple this actually is, would choose to make their own. but they don't.
NO, I haven't tried making beads, though I'm seen some interesting examples of homemade beads. I think that would be of use once I start doing more necklaces and bracelets.

Those are awesome b! May I ask how much you're selling them for? (I like the ones on the bottom left ;) )
And..where do you get your beads from?
Carnelian is a big beader too...I'd love (hint hint) for her to post some pictures of the things she's made..very cool stuff. :)
<<<not so creatively inclined lol.

Ten dollars a pair is the going rate. I actually made more, but couldn't get the second picture to load.
Thanks for the compliments all. I like the fish ones as well (my daughter picked out those beads) but they didn't sell on my last display...I was bummed. I find the whole process of making things kind of theraputic, and found that I spent most of Friday and yesterday morning working on these.

Oh and iamjen, I have a local bead store (locally owned  ). I love the lady who owns it because several years ago when my daughter was four, she shoplifted two beaded rings...yikes. Of course I made her take them back and of course she was quite remorseful...and this lady was so nice to us. She just moved into a bigger storefront and I believe is doing quite well at the new place.
I know I can get them online, and probably for cheaper...a little more variety, but I really like my local shop.

Shop outside the box, as they say. :)
