Hi, I'm still new to the board but this thread looks like fun! I'm taking it easy from running this week, as a did a 30K race last weekend and I'm still not recovered. I'll probably go to the gym today or tomorrow. See you around.

Hi mark! Good to see another runner on here. Do you run ultras?

ETA: Nevermind, I just saw your coolrunning bio and see that you are training for a 100k and a 100 miler. Wow. Good luck.

First time poster, but I'm trying to get myself into shape. I'm quite pitiful, so any tips would help.
My goals (minimum) for this week are:
40 minute walk everyday
100 squats everday
50 crunches everyday
50 reverse crunches everday
25 sissy push-ups everyday

Now I can't cheat because it's in writing.

::sans 5 A.M. run o_O::

35-minute lower lifting session
35-minute strong, steady pace run, then about 20 minutes or so to walk the rest back...

Tonight I ran a lap around a park I haven't run at in a while, and the progress I've made is so cool for me to experience

:nigel: Cheers!

Today I did 125 crunches, and about 30 minutes of upper and lower body strength training. I might go for a run tonight; we've got great weather here this week, and I want to enjoy it! :)

Today:

15 or 20 mile bike ride along the beach. :smitten: Today was, in my opinion, the first day of spring! It was awesome and I feel great! Now, if only my CD player wouldn't skip so much.

Bah - my muscles are so sore today from all the stretching and practicing... but I still wouldn't miss my 90 min. jazz dance class tonight for the world. :smitten:

Jazz dance class = 60 min. dance workout
30 min. dance routine reps

Tomorrow I work late, so maybe just some crunches and stretching.

Saturday: 60-90 min. dance practice

3 mile run.

The best part of running a marathon is taking it easy afterwords. :D

Porvida, looks like you are doing awesome! A 5 mile walk is looong.

Today:

8-10 mile bike ride. I stopped for about an hour to read on the beach. It is colder outside than it looks and I forgot to put socks on. I feel a cold coming on. Oh well! :)

I ran the LA marathon on March 6th. I'm a very slow runner though. I finished in 5:30 but I was hoping for 5:26 because that would have been a PR. :)
