Major Upgrade to Photo Gallery Coming Soon!

In the near future I will be doing a major upgrade of the photo gallery software. The new software offers many advantages over the free software that we had been using.

The biggest difference is that it ties in with your VeggieBoards login. This means you will be able to upload your own photos and add your own descriptions. You will even be able to rate photos, leave comments about photos, and much more!

I would like to thank the Contributing Members! Actually we all should, they're the ones that make improvements like this possible. :)

Big things coming over the next few months... :D

Are the pictures going to be organized some other way than chronologically? Perhaps by the name of the submitter?

Sort thumbnail display pages by alphabetical, most popular, most active, by date, and by number of views.

View Recent Uploads - A link to show the posts in the past 1, 7 and 14 days.

New Comments/Photos indicator - for users who are logged in, the arrow for comments and posts will glow when new items have been posted since last visit to the category. (similar to the boards)

Just an update... I hope to get started on this Saturday. I would like to have it up sometime Sunday. All depends on how well the installation, setup, and customization goes. That and the availability of my special helper. :)

No, I'm not really serious about that last one.

Skylark, still working on the software install/setup. It required a couple of modules to be installed on the server that were not already there so that delayed things a tad. It's being instaled right this minute actually and, once installed, will be ready for testing.

I am unsure of the sorting options... Michael would have a much better understanding of what the software can actually do, feature wise. I'm just the install guy :)
