It would probably be sacreligous for the Pope to be interested in science.

True, but often science comes in handy when trying to prove some theories of christianity. So I don't think it would have been that sacreligious.

Armand Hammer, the head of Occidental Petroleum, tried to buy the company that owns Arm & Hammer because he was tired of people asking if he was associated with it. They wouldn't sell, but they started a partnership and he was director and on the board.

There was (is) a movie studio called Hammer that made a series of B-grade vampire movies around the late 60's, at least some of them with Christopher Lee.
