I have used the same kind since before my kids were born and they quit making it. I tend to get hives from a lot of things and Granny's Power Plus was the only thing I could find that had no fragrance, and did not give me problems with my skin...and worked really well. When I found out they did not make it any more, I got a little panicky, but I found this...

and I emailed them. They do not test on animals, use any animal tested ingredients or any animal products or by-products. It has no fragrance and like Granny's, you only use 1 Tablespoon (powder-the liquid you would use 1/8C). So far, it looks like it works really well and I read a bunch of stuff on a laundry forum (seriously) and lots of people there gave it great reviews.
I am so releived. I didn't know what I was going to use that was not super-expensive or have stuff that made me itch.

Let us know how it works for you! I love how they have the MSDS's available right there on their website for consumers. I read all of them... :dunce:

I have done a week's worth of laundry and it turned out great. I have ordered the general purpose stuff as a pre-treat but I don't have it yet. I honestly don't know why anyone would WANT perfumes in their laundry. Without it the laundry comes out with this wonderful, sweet, clean smell.
I am also excited because soon I will be able to string up a clothesline on my new poles so I can hang the stuff out to dry sometimes. I love that smell too. :)

It looks like a good product, the only weird thing was this comment from one of their customers:
"Kept me from going to jail it cleaned so good!" :worried:

Yeah...I don't know whether to  or :stinkeye: on that one.
But I've been looking for a good laundry detergent that is all of those things you were saying. I'm going to have to check it out.

Hey, if you order some and you PM me for my name, they will send me a free bag if someone I refer orders from them. :)

I just checked their website and they even ship to Canada. It costs an extra $10.00 but it's still cheaper than buying the brand I do because it washes more loads. I need to have non-scented detergent for my allergies.

If you like it, the next time I think you can buy a larger amount at a discount and maybe the shipping is less per unit also. It should be, anyway. :)

Just an update.
I really like this stuff. It works great. I have only used the pre-treat once on an oil spot and it got it out. (I had my citrasolv as back-up, just in case)
This week we have plumbing problems and there was a load of laundry washed with this that never got to go through the rinse cycle. I wore a shirt from that load, and it did not bother my (very sensitive) skin.
